Just got his reciever about 2 weeks ago. So far All is great. I have in it my garage. I'm not using it's full audio potential. Setup was easy, Wifi went smooth. The reciever would be good step up from a soundboard. Just add the amount of speakers you can afford, and you'll have a nice setup for a small room. Denon brand makes good reciever.

I am so glad that I chose this one and not the Denon model that does not have Alexa capabilities. So far I have no problems and I love the sound quality. I cam from a 10yo Onkyo that I loved. I first tried a $300 Sony which was a joke and I’m glad that I made the move to this model

This is a brand that I had not heard of but my Geek Squad representative came to the house and evaluated my audio and video system and needs. I needed a blue ray DVD player, A VCR (which I still use on occasion), the cable DVR and my new Q70 TV which is awesome. The price was reasonable for what I have.

Great entry receiver, sound quality is excellent for low-mid range speakers (bose setup for inlaws). Airplay/Alexa integration is super convenient and makes use very simple for the non tech savvy, esp for a device like an A/V receiver that can be intimidating for some. Can never go wrong with a Denon

I have owned Denon audio equipment for years. I have also owned Crown integrated amp and separate preamp components. And I have owned 2 Luxman receivers. It is my opinion that Denon is top of the line. I think that, for the money, Denon audio is the very best for the money spent.

This is a basic receiver but has all the primary features needed. Plenty of digital inputs and power for most one room systems. Big plus is it is Heos enabled for app control or adding other rooms via WiFi speakers or WiFi amps.

I replaced my fairly old Pioneer receiver with this new Denon. My Pioneer was too complicated, with way to many buttons on the remote. Sometimes I would accidentally hit something, lose sound and not know what I did wrong. This new Denon is uncomplicated, with an easy to use remote/ It also comes with an east to understand "On Screen" set up system, with a remote sensor to place in different areas of the room. This sends a signal to the receiver to read the signals from the different placements. This sets up your receiver for maximized sound of that particular room. The on screen prompts are easy to understand and were fairly quickly to accomplish. With only the essential buttons on the remote, I am very happy with the ease of use of the remote control.

It was easy to setup. Plenty of HDMI options. The sound is extremely low, to get adequate sound quality you have to have it set at 45 before you can hear anything normal. I've noticed some TV stations can go from a 38 to 55 sound setting. I wish there was an automatic volume for the receiver to auto adjust.

    Solid 5.2 channel AVR

Recently upgraded to a 4K HDR TV and needed an AVR with only 5.1 channels and HDMI ARC to play sound from the streaming apps from the TV. Didn't need additional channels nor Dolby ATMOS or other extra bells and whistles in a higher end model. This fit the bill, setup was straightforward, and a trust the quality from Denon.

Been waiting along time for upgrading my home theater system and this receiver has met all my expectations and then some. Living in a Townhouse I wanted a receiver that had enough power but didn’t break the bank. Very excited to finally have my Denon .

Still haven't explored all of its features, but as a basic receiver, works great. The apps are a little basic and simple, but I didn't buy it for that purpose. I just needed a basic receiver that was capable of 5.1 output and had hdmi as well as digital audio inputs.

Tremendous receiver built for 4K. Switches between music and 4kTV sound with ease. Works great for regular HD as well. If you are upgrading to 4K you MUST buy a 4K compatible receiver or the sound will not be right. This is a great choice.

Good system capable of handling our various components: CD player, TV Cable, Turntable, DVD Player, TV. With GEEK Squad help in setting it up, all works great. It appears to be a system that we can grow with. At a good price.

Great home audio solution. This is my second Denon home theater amp (first one lasted 12 years before a couple issues had me upgrade). Does all the things you’d like. Configuration was reasonable given the number of devices patched into the Denon.

So I havent figured it out exactly even after countless Utube videos and reading the instruction. Maybe they could do a quick install video on the web..., Just a thought. But I wanted something I could direct plug without a pre amp for my phono well it works but maybe I am not smart enough to figure out why the sound is so low when I listen to my records.... the sound sound is amazing through my AWESOME new Klisph Speakers. Hopefully I will figure it out...

If you're not a technical kind of person, get help! I was confused about how to set up. I had a friend come and do it. Now that it's set up pretty easy to use. I have a Klipsch home theatre connected to it . apps make it even more user friendly

We just bought our new home and we designated one room for a theatre room. We also bought the speakers at Best Buy and the combination is excellent! When we see a movie, it feels like we're at the cinema! Kudos to all at Best Buy for their products and services!

The setup was straightforward and pretty easy. We have a good sized living and the sound is great. Even though our front speakers are in the ceiling the receiver seems to compensate and the sound appears to coming from the sides of the TV.
