Brings life-like, clear quality to your surround sound system. Start as a 5.1 then add on for another room or use all - I like the possibilities with this model. It was easy to set up. Got some giggles from the blooob blooop sounds during setup but it works! Used mine with Pioneer speakers. Boyfriend uses Denon with two Peavey SP-5XT adapted for speakers and it is amazing. You hear sounds you have never noticed before from songs you have heard for 30 years - wow!!!!

I purchased the unit about a month ago. It was easy to install and it sounds great with the surround sound on. I can do some functions through my cell phone, which is handy while watching TV or a movie. One problem I have not yet resolved is the video-audio is not always in sync, which I have not noticed before with my old receiver. The app does have a control for it, but it is not fully synced yet. It does integrate nicely with my Samsung smart TV, still have to hook it up with Alexa.

I'm very pleased with the features and performance of this A/V receiver replacing an older receiver. Good sound quality and seamless control for HDMI, game consoles and internet music with Spotify Connect. The programmatic sound setup and balancing for room acoustics works well to produce realistic sound separation.

I replaced a similarly priced Pioneer - Elite 980W-- due to having HDMI issues. I noticed the subtle change in sound between the two immediately. It seemed the sound on the Denon receiver was a bit more detailed. I like the generous number of HDMI inputs (8) and the aux inputs on the front of the receiver are appreciated as well. Overall, I'm happy with this receiver.

Did a lot of reading reviews on this amp, being a onkyo owner many years, sigh. I decided to buy this receiver. Wow! The separation of sounds, the way the sound moves around the room. Atmos is kick butt, although I need better atmos speakers. Hdmi has zero issues with my Samsung tv, roku, ps4, and 4k disc player. Absolutely one fine sounding receiver!

Decided to go with this Denon because of the high rating it already had. Was not disappointed with my purchase. You get a bunch of HDMI inputs, as well as being able to assign the 2 optical inputs to an input of your choice. The input setup was very easy to do. The speaker setup was a little more involved than in the past, but not outrageous.

good quality. I should hook up the little microphone to 'balance and adjust' the speakers for my room but never have. I think that's why the center channel doesn't sound loud enough in movies. Nice ability to stream your iPhone to the tv, if you want. has lots of hdmi inputs which is why I got it.

While I paid slightly more for this receiver than I typically would for the features you get built in you really can't beat the price. It has 7 4K HDMI inputs, it sounds great, is Atmos compatible as well as EARC. Check out all the features and you will see it is packed with options.

The technologies in this system is fantastic from Bluetooth to the apps are great. I can control everything from my phone. The ease of setup was great however the guide is quite extensive but very informative. My last Denon system was over 15 years old and is a great investment.

Got this Amp to replace my Yamaha, this receiver or should I say Denon's receivers have dedicated phono plug in for vinyl, was even able to set up my Nakamichi tape deck and was very, very impressed with the sound to my expectations. Set up was easy for calibration of speakers, other equipment( which identifies by name) wifi works great. This amp has many hookups for older equipment, hard to find these days. Thought I was not going to be able to use old Denon Turn Table again, which sounds better than my new one, (other brand), which has a phono or line hookup, perfect for my Yamaha. Out put signals for video is great. worth the money. Watts per channel is perfect for what I need, No distortion at Max, some buyers might want a more powerful out put of audio, but this is great for large living room, there are two hookups for sub woofer which I intend to use, full 7.2,

Great sound and straight forward setup. Works well with my 4K setup. Just be sure (as with any receiver) to make sure your HDMI cables are certified for 4K.

Purchased this receiver to complete my surround sound system. Easy to setup and operate, plenty of HDMI in and out. If you’re looking for a system that has plenty of power and easy too hook up, then this is the system for you!!

This surround received works great. It was easy to set up and sounds great...better than the older Onkyo brand device it replaced. Room correction is easy and worthwhile. Highly recommended.

We are very satisfied with this AV receiver. It has a far better quality of sound than our previous receiver. It was very easy to install and I would recommend Denon to my family and friends.

Easy on screen setup for best sound. Needed a second zone to play music outside & this receiver was perfect for that! Paired well with my klipsch speakers!

I received my new Denon receiver on 8/29 late Saturday night. I hooked everything up to my home theater system, it took me about an hour! Everything worked perfectly, The sound system was beyond my expectations! Playing movies from Netflix with Dolby Atmos was amazing! I need to acknowledge Best Buy for their amazing customer service! They were able to assist me after Onkyo never responded to my emails concerning some issues that I was experiencing. I had purchased an Onkyo TX-NR696 couple months ago! This was my third receiver from Onkyo over the last decade.I’ll never purchase anything from Onkyo’s company ever again! They lost a faithful customer!

I really like this receiver. It is easy to follow where the hook ups all go and it delivers quality sound for the price. The remote is laid out nicely and I am able to use all controls.
