We had a Denon receiver...excellent for years but not HDMI adaptable so needed to upgrade for a Firestick. It required more techno savvy than we had to install...fortunately our son-in law did that. Our biggest complaint...the headset I have used to hear the the TV is not able to be used unless it shuts off the speakers for other listeners...ie you can plug it to the unit on the front but only allows person with earphones to hear the sound. Denon rep said that they have had this complaint especially as the population ages and hearing is a problem. Sure hope they fix that!!

Really nice love how it makes my movies sound like im at the movie theater its the best receiver ive bought yet need to get better speakers for the full sound its nice that it has 4K up grade for sound an video woud buy again like that it comes with a mic so i can set up the speakers sound where i want them where ever they are in the room an you can set them large or small speakers

I was a bit concerned about the compatability to my new 4k TV. I have a PlayStation 5 and wanted it to run at full compacity. This AVR has an HDMI of HDCP 2.3 which supports 2.1 HDMI cords. So who ever says this avr does not support 2.1 is wrong. It certainly does.

Easy set-up and great sound. I love that you can customize all the inputs.

I've now used this for what, 2 plus years now.. It's a great receiver, still no complains.. I do wish the HEOS music deal offered actual connection to Amazon music or something, but oh well, it has bluetooth so super easy to play music through it if you aren't doing it via Youtube or something like that.

My only minor issue is that there is no simple means to avoid auto-triggering of power-up modes in accessory equipment (such as Blu-ray players) when switching input modes. If I want to switch to an input mode I might not want it to auto-power up --- if its already "on" --- as that would mean the receiver may send a 'power off" mode instead. This is resolvable by plugging other equipment into switchable power outlets (not on the receiver), or in some cases via those equipments user-interface options, but the Denon's automation is, at times, a bit too smart and too inflexible without by-passing its clever "smart" options as it interfaces with other equipment. But it still ranks as a 9 out of 10.

Love my Denon reciever! I had no clue it had this much power. Loving my basement 5.1 setup so far. Will push it to 7.2 as I continue to refine my basement family room. The only thing I need is a fan to ventilate the area I'm forced to place it because the safety mechanism for overheating kicks in a few hours in of pure Power.
