I have an 8000 series Samsung TV. Hooking this up to the TV using a correct HDMI cable, the Denon unit does not want me using the enhanced mode saying my TV cannot support 4:4:4 (it can). Even with that mode on, it REFUSES to do anything beyond basic 4k to my TV from my XBox. If I instead plug my Xbox into the TV, I can see that the TV supports everything except for Dolby Vision.
The on screen menus on this unit look WORSE than the on screen menus on my 11 year old Onkyo unit.
I was upsold on this unit from another black friday deal, and I regret talking to a best buy employee.
