Has all of the newest tech like Dolby Atmos, WIFI, and Sirius. The downside is that you have to turn the volume up over 40, on a 0 to 100 scale, to be able to hear it.

Replaced my still-working AVR-2800 for the HDMI support and other capabilities. Provided the expected level of upgrade on capabilities and features. The Audyssey setup helps bring out the sound for my 5.1 setup for a more dynamic HT experience.

This was recommended by the sales person. We bought a 65" OLED TV and also updated our speaker system. I finally decided to upgrade the Denon since it had the ATM<OS system. Great for watching movies... so many new sounds

We are using this for our pool house to drive our theater system as outside speakers. The theater portion was easy to set up and sounds great. The zone 2 was a little difficult to set up and make sound good. We are using Polk Atrium 5 speakers with an Atrium 10 sub woofer. With this set up it was over driving the receiver and causing it to overheat and turn off. After some trial and error, we put an amp on just the sub and the speakers on zone 2 by them selves. Problem solved and sounds great.

Im a big fan of Denon, bought this for our home theater, excited about Atmos. I had a 7.1 setup originally, but had to make a decision on whether to keep my 7.1, or go back to 5.1 and add atmos as the other 2 channels. (5.1.2) So if you want to stay 5.1, u cannot go wrong here, If you are like me and just cannot handle taking away 2 full channels, look into the Pioneer Elite 95C or equivalent. Catch it on sale and your not spending too much more. Trust me, It's well worth it.

Outstanding A/V receiver

I wanted an A/V receiver with the ability to pass through 4K (future use), and as many HDMI connections as possible (8 with this model). The AVR-X2000W delivers on both. Also, surprisingly, since purchase, Denon has provided TWO firmware upgrades. And even though I bought open-box, and the calibration mic was not included, Denon sent one free of charge. I've calibrated the system twice - Game of Thrones in 7.2 Dolby Digital is spectacular.

I bought this unit for following reasons:
1. HDMI switch and 4k capability
2. Great internet radio player
3. Pandora player
4. Bluetooth capability
5. Playing from media server.
Missing is playing music from Amazon and Youtube.
Bluetooth is very unreliable. Currently random, or not working at all. My PC has no issue working with BT headphones or BT Sony bookshelf radio. Unlike them my Denon BT still not working reliable. Upgrading both DENON and my PC Intel wireless card driver to newest software did not help yet. On other hand internet player is just fine. Only issue is that it is difficult to select station s from favorites without turning on Tv or monitor.

This thing has enough ports in the back to handle anything and everything anyone can throw at it. Pretty easy setup and has a clean look. Once I mess with it a bit more my plan is to have the cops called on me for rocking out too hard.

I am not an audiophile type. I wanted to fill my media room with as close to theater sound as my budget would allow. Paired this receiver with Martin Logan Motion 40's, 4's, 8 and a Dynamo 500 sub. This system sounds awesome.

Got it for $200 less than msrp on sale so it is a good midrange receiver
for price but you do need a HDMI T.V. for setup.

I'm happy with this purchase. It replaced a 10-year old Harman/Kardon AR435. I upgraded for Atmos/DTS:X support, ARC support with my new Sony TV, and Bluetooth/AirPlay support. All three have lived up to my expectations, especially ARC. Some pluses that I've enjoyed is the on-screen display to adjust settings, the fantastic Audyssey setup, and web-based controls so I can play music directly to the receiver via AirPlay and adjust volume from my computer/phone in another room.
Fantastic unit, I really have no regrets choosing this model.

I purchased this as a replacement for my 10 year old last Denon. It costed about the same but I think my old Denon was better quality and had more options. One thing I do like about this newer receiver/amp is the internet radio.

The system was a bit more difficult to setup than I would have liked it to be. I'm pretty tech savvy and I took me a couple of hours to get the speaker arrangement the way I wanted it. Once done though, the receiver works and sounds great. I have a Roku box, Apple TV, Blue Ray, Xbox and Digital Cable box attached and have no problem switching from each. Very happy with the performance.

I purchased this receiver a little over a week ago, and so far everything about it has been great. Menus are simple and easy enough to use. Using the included microphone, I pretty much let Audyssey set everything up for me. I did go back and customize a few settings to my liking. Overall I was impressed with how accurately it guessed the distances of my speakers. I'm using Klipsch Reference series speakers, and love them paired with this receiver.
