It's a must have if you want 4K to work with sound system

This receiver is top notch and the price is exceptional for the power that the receiver pumps out. The staff at the Easton Bestbuy hit one outta the ballpark on this one. GREAT JOB!!!

Purchased for 4K pass through capability and sound quality. Very pleased with sound quality . Versatility adds to set up complexity . Still experience issues with passthrough.

For the money this is the best system. The sound quality from the TV, radio, CD, HEOS is wonderful. Recommend with universal remote. It truly is remarkable.

I purchased a Denon 3808CI about ten years ago and expected the GUI on this model to be about the same, if not more advanced. It is actually a little "watered down" on the amount of adjustments you can make within your system. With that being said, the sound that this unit produces is excellent! I'm running an all Bowers & Wilkins 7.1 system. 684's on the left and right HTM61 S2 center LM1 left and right side surround 664 in ceiling left and right rear ASW 610 sub This powers all of them with no problem and produces a clear sound.

I have this in my media room and this provides great sound and is future proof for technology in terms of a receiver for a long time.

Upscaling to 1080p is awesome. However the dynamic volume settings are inconsistent.

I replaced a Sony AVR. I love the set up and the sound is amazing.

This hooks up very easy and supplies my entire system with the additions of some other systems added to it.

Denon makes great products. I love my receiver just wish it had 2 more speaker terminals

Geek Squad again suggesting second replacement. I'm concerned about losing the extended warranty and don't feel I should have to pay for another warranty or replacement receiver.

I believe I received a defective unit. I did my research on this product before purchasing it and believed I was obtaining the best unit in my price range. The video processor seemed to soften the picture and the rear speakers would not play in the surround sound settings. I contacted the manufacture they walked me through a factory reset but I was still unhappy with the end result. The Magnolia rep told me that they have never heard of this issue happening in the past so I believe that I simply got a bad unit. I returned it because there was a two week backorder for a new unit and I purchased a Yamaha.

This did not live up to my expectations, so I traded it in immediately. A very nice unit, but I was going after a much bigger, more sophisticated sound.

This is my second Denon unit. I had to update my unit because it did not have HDMIs. I received this unit as a Christmas gift last year 2016. It was was working fine until just recently September 2017 after a firmware update the HDMI card went out twice. Luckily Denon has a two year warranty. Currently is in the process of being reviewed by Denon HQ.

One bad thing is that it has too many volume spikes. I listen to it on low volume, and when a commercial comes on the volume spikes up loud.
