Customers are saying

Many appreciate its powerful performance and consider the price reasonable for the features offered. Excellent Unit

I have waited about a month to see if there would be any glitches in the unit. There are none and I am pleased with the quality of sound and picture that it produces from my system. Although I have been through the setup process before, it seemed to go incredibly easy. I also have found the controller app for my iPhone to work extremely well. It clearly provides more information than the app used to control my old Pioneer Elite SC-81 which this unit replaced. Definitely very pleased.

Sound quality is superb. Heos features is great and makes listening to music super easy. I matched this receiver with Klipsch Atmos speakers. No need for me to go to the movie theater anymore. Worth every penny. I shopped around and researched many receivers to upgrade my existing Sony home theater system, over several months. This one seemed the best buy. It was. Stop looking and comparing. Just buy it. You won't regret it.

The Denon 2700 is a dream. Ease of use is amazing with great audio output for movies and the audio for music is awesome. This is my second Denon and I have bought a third. I recommend Denon to all.

Replacing a 20 year old Onkyo unit. Price and features were attractive. Easily set up. Only in for a day so not sure about longer term performance. Originally supposed to be delivered on 12/03 but delayed until 12/04. Took three days to leave source location. I almost returned it but couldn't find a suitable option anywhere.

Really great surround sound, very reliable HDMI switching between Sony Bravia Google TV, PS4 and Switch. Haven't tried out the 4 120Hz yet since still hard to get a PS5 or Xbox series X. Very easy to set up our speakers using Audessy and the included mic.

Much improved sound quality from the 2600. Running a bargain Klipsch home theatre setup which sounds better than even the best soundbars one can buy. A great receiver is the key and this is a perfectly priced one for entry level enthusiasts like myself whilst being future proofed.

Denon AVR-X2700H - Heart of My AV System Upgrade

The Denon AVR-X2700H was installed by Geek Squad techs along with several new components for my upgraded home AV system. It replaced an old Yamaha receiver. It functions as advertised and is quite user friendly. Being up to date, it benefits from 7 HDMI inputs, which simplify connectivity. The near 100W is more than sufficient to handle my 5.0 surround setup. The Audyssey speaker setup process is awesome and did a great job optimizing the sound for my room. The 4K and 8K video processing pretty much future proof this unit. Couldn't be happier with the final result.

My installation was good but not complete. Will be finished mid January. Overall it has been a good experience --at least from the initial order (which delivery was delayed almost another month)after waiting a month to get all items in stock so installation could be done. Now the customer service department is just rude or cannot speak English --not at the store -- at the CS center. SHOWS PURCHASE DATE BELOW AS 11/24/2020 WHEN IT ACTUALLY WAS 10/30/2020..PLEASE REVIEW YOUR RECORDS AS THIS SECONDARY ORDER PLACED 11/24 WAS TO FILL IN ITEMS THAT WE NOT SENT ON MY ORIGINAL ORDER.

Very happy with set up and performance. I've owned several Onkyo AV Receivers before this (and still own one) and feel the Denon set up and performance is a bit better than Onkyo. Smart Device app works well. I use it to turn on and manage Zone 2 which I have set up to drive outdoor speakers. It would be nice if mid-priced receivers had the ability to play digital sources through Zone 2 instead of just analog sources (when Zone 2 has a different source than the main zone). This unit does not have that ability. You have to spend a lot more to get that feature.

Easy setup especially considering how difficult Denon used to be. I ended up expanding to a 5.2.4 and got a Marantz 6015 to increase power and account for the extra height speakers.

Moved up from a mid range, non-elite Pioneer and am shocked at the difference. Sounds is super clean and the amount of features are insane. The two apps - Denon remote and Audyssey ($20) - are a must and really allow for the sound to be tweaked however you want. After setting it up with the mic and making adjustments after doing some measurements the sound is incredible and the distortion I used to think was from my speakers is now gone. I can push them way louder without any of that feeling I’m over driving them. I’m running a PS5 and Xbox Series S through it and they both work great without issue. Highly recommend!

I bought this receiver to replace an older Yamaha because it did not have HDMI. The Denon was a great replacement! It was very easy to set up and was just as powerful.

Overall, this is a solid receiver pending it meets your needs. Incredible sound, easy to use and setup. Very feature loaded for the price. Unfortunately for me, I realized that if I was upgrading I wanted some level of Dolby ATMOS capability and I needed Zone 2 support. So, I ended up returning this to upgrade to AVR-X3700H.

This has been a great receiver for my newly remodeled basement. It's been awhile since a bought a new receiver and was pleased at all the well designed features. - The setup was a snap - Getting the surround sound speakers tuned with the microphone was easy - Getting the system connected to my wireless network was simple I particularly like that the system is smart and knows which input to switch to without having to futz with the remote too much. This means my kids can easily get movies and gaming setup without asking for help.

I purchased this receiver in May of 2022. The receiver worked well until January of 2024. The receiver did not recognize the HDMI Out port. It stopped playing sound from any source. I dropp led it off to BestBuy and supposedly it was shipped from the repair center on 01/31/2024. I still have not received the item. The employees keep saying it is in Transit. It has been 24 days. I enjoyed it while it worked. It was awesome and it sounded like a theater. Now, no one knows where it is, not even customer support.
