Well, it works! Had a 2300 before this and had major issues with the HDCP compatibility with new devices like the AppleTV 4k and PS5. It would blank out the screen randomly, but not even all the time. Very very annoying. Decided on this model after comparing it to how Yamaha handled the HDMI 2.1 upgrade on the RX-V6A (they are throttling the bandwidth and forcing a lower color space!). I will say it does sound better than the 2300 and I have had 0 black screen issues with the PS5 or the AppleTV so I consider that a major win! Have yet to try the HDMI 2.1 4k 120hz feature since my tv maxes at 60hz but that will be coming sometime next year. All in all, a solid buy.

Eaaasy set up, no need to go up, it has everything you need.
(Magnolia may not like this, hehe) Two zones are enough for most any home, plenty of inputs, plenty of power.

This replaces my old Denon AVR-987 which sounded great but was next to impossible to set up correctly with an exceedingly cryptic user manual and very unhelpful (at the time, 2008) tech support. Between the excellent user friendly setup interface, pre-labeled HDMI inputs, improved Audyssey room calibration, and much more helpful tech support my AVR-X2700H was up and running in no time. I love how beautifully it passes thru the 4K HDR signal as well. I was skeptical of buying Denon again after my initial experience but I’m thrilled that my Magnolia salesperson talked me into it.

At first i had the onkyo 686 that my parents suprised me for a christmas gift i really like it and then i upgraded to the xbox series x and higher end sony tv and then i had a problems with the onkyo reciver changed color and showing green then i saved up money for the denon x2700h its does all the stuff like dolby vision and atmos and dtx s and it. Does dolby vision gaming and hdr10 i really love the 8k reciver it look much more expensive because of paino gloss coat and the gold lettering.

This was huge upgrade to my 15 year old receiver. It has on screen display that walks you through the entire set up of all external equipment attached to it. Also has blue tooth to connect wireless outdoor speakers.

Product working well. No problems since installation.
Interestingly, I was unable to register the product on the Denon website, and could not get any answer by phone or email to help me on multiple occasions.

This was my first ever Denon purchase-- normally a Sony guy. I do notice better sound quality then my previous Sony, however, I have not been able to keep the unit from shutting off "randomly" when using my Apple TV, with my Sony TV. Now I will say that I have had "fits" with the Sony TV from the day it came home. I almost regret not taking it back to Best Buy, but the picture was so nice.. Fast forward to upgrading to the Denon. I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue. Right down to spending $$$ on 8K certified HDMI cables -- which believe it or not really did improve the picture. But to no avail. While watching the Apple TV though the Denon the picture will randomly go black. I fix it by switching the Denon from the input to another video input then back.
So, while the sound from this unit id not disappointing at all, it certainly is disappointing that it doesn't play well with my other toys.

Have had some problems with this receiver. It has problems communicating with my cable box and does weird things giving mixed pictures that don’t match sound. Or it will show picture on tv and I still don’t know where the picture comes from. I've had to do a hard reboot to fix the problem. Fortunately, this has worked.
