Perfect upgrade from X1600H. 2 more channels, more power, can add 2 more channels with an amp.

Love this receiver so easy to use and I love how this handles sound and picture quality also is able to pass 4k for future use.

This was such a step up in sound quality from my previous pioneer elite lx 303. This is more expensive but the quality in comparison made it worth it to me. My klipsch 5.1.4 reference premier setup with atmos sounds so much better! Hdmi 2.1 and earc were one of the main selling points to keep up with my PS5.

This Denon completely meets my expectations, and after researching AVR's for about two months my expectations were very high for this unit. As others have pointed out, the 3700H sounds great as soon as everything is connected. But, put some time into the Audyssey set up and other adjustments, and "great" becomes "awesome". This AVR is not a soundbar, where it is just "plug, play and forget it". The full manual is a daunting 300 or so pages. But if you can find a way to make this manual your new best friend for a few hours, your ears will be amply rewarded. As with any sound system, solidify your investment with decent speakers (I love Def Tech, personally), some good speaker wire and HDMI cables (or whatever your sources need) and it will all pay off. My advice for whatever it is worth...don't blow the bank on any one thing because your weak link or links mean you won't get the value anyway on your one high-budget piece. Balance is what you want to shoot for. Try for good or very good on each piece in your system, if you can swing it and even if it takes time to pull it all together, and you will be very happy. Bottom line, I absolutely love this AVR and am very pleased with the purchase. p.s. This baby runs hot, so plan on a getting one or two little USB fans (check out AC Infinity).

I would be lying if I said the buggy HDMI 2.1 port didn't bother me, but Denon did provide a fix free of charge and everything is working great. I'm running a 7.2.4 setup in a small theater room made from an extra bedroom and this thing does provide enough power to get to reference levels. Note you will need a separate 2 channel amp to run a setup like me as you are limited to 9 powered channels and 11.2 processing (the point 2 is for the subs).

I spent about 8 months researching home theatre receivers I finally decided to purchase the Denon Ultra HD 9.2 based on my discussions with the Best Buy Magnolia Team. I also purchased the Total Tech which I used to have the Geek Squad install my Theatre which I highly recommend!! The Denon Ultra 9.2 is INCREDIBLE I legit have an IMAX theatre in my house!!

Easy to setup and fine tune. Gets very hot. Used external cooling fans.

Outstanding sound with new LG OLED TV and existing speakers. Set-up much easier than expected.

The unit works as expected. Same easy setup as my previous Denon. I just replaced it to get the new audio standards and pass through that my circa 2007 unit did not have. The materials are a little cheaper on the new model versus the old (remote control and front panel of unit) but the sound and video pass through are still top notch.

I’m disappointed the price went up, but other than that it’s been a great receiver. The only thing I don’t like is audio delay when I stream movies through my Apple TV. If I connect the hdmi cable to the tv port it’s fine. Only when I use the receiver hdmi port is when I get audio delay. I’ve tried every setting possible and can’t figure out why it does this. I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the audio delay issue.

I had a base model Onkyo and upgraded to the Denon primarily to get more inputs and output options. That has worked out very well, but the one great surprise is how much better the sound is with the Denon receiver. It is noticeable to the point where we will be looking to upgrade other receivers within the house.

Sounds great, both movies and music. A little confusing to setup. But runs a little too hot.

First i want to mention a big Thank You to Best Buy and Magnolia. The Magnolia salesmen are awesome and let me listen to various music and movies through several speakers. You cannot get that kind of service or even try a product out with online shopping. We need our Brick and Mortar stores to stay. (So please shop Brick and Mortar Stores! ) Now for the Denon 3700H........Wow! Fantastic and amazing! This my 3rd Denon and I got to say this is their best yet, hand down. Music and movies are spot on with outstanding video, clarity and sound. Denon Audyssey calibration is a breeze to set up your system and speakers. The receiver is extremely user friendly and walks you through each step setting up the machine. I am currently using Martin Logan speakers 9.1 and got to say this Denon does its job even at loud volume. Atmos sound and 4k are amazing. So if you are looking for an excellent receiver......go for it. Thank You Again Magnolia!

Upgrading from a Sony STR Dn1080 and the sound for 2 channel music and DTS-X/ Atoms Movies is amazing! I have this unit hooked up to the Polk Signature Series 5.2.4.. Planning on getting 2 more speaker for 5.2.4 setup.. Video possessing in 4k hdr ,colors just pop, definitely from my DirecTV.. Setup will take some time as I'm still learning all the functions..

Denon is one of the top A/V companies in the world. And this receiver is a very solid performer. It is mostly future proofs there are some reports of an HDMI chipset issue that effects certain modes such as 120hz on next gen consoles and the 3000 series GPU's. Not much else to say it does the job very well, although it can get a little hot after long periods of use.

I bought the Denon AVR-X3700H to replace a lower-end receiver (Denon AVR-S650H) I bought 6 months ago...after a lightning strike took out my Onkyo receiver. I wish I’d purchased this receiver immediately, instead of settling for a lower quality AVR with fewer features. I got the 3700H for the following reasons: 1) ability to independently calibrate 2 subs under Audyssey; 2) more watts per channel; 3) ATMOS (if I get around to doing it); 3) pre-outs to connect to a separate power amp (I’ve since ordered a 3-channel Emotiva amp); & 4) improved onscreen menus compared to the S650H. It is fairly large, so make sure it fits before you order. I also shopped Marantz AVRs, which are made by the same company. Marantz AVRs cost a bit more for the same features & have a small, odd front display. It also is 8K ready...but that wasn’t really something that I was looking for. Side note: I bought this online from BestBuy with same-day delivery. BestBuy has been my go-to electronics vendor during COVID. Always headache-free & quick.
