The built in setup was very easy to follow step by step instructions to configure the unit to any peripherals you have. The unit has a very attractive front panel which compliments your system. Love it.

I love this AVR! The sound is incredible. Banana plugs make it easier to install speakers. I downloaded Auro 3D and it totally envelopes you in movie sound. Much better than my previous Onkyo which claims DTS-X, but not available through firmware update. Great, substantial remote.

Love pretty much everything about it. Denon tech support for setup help was great, especially since they don't sound like a scripted person that I couldn't understand. Buy it and enjoy it!

Full featured. Issues. Exchanged unit. 1st x4200 cut out on loud passages. Best Buy recommended I swap out. They were right. Current unit better. Remaining issues ... 1) Remote receiver in unit must be line of sight or it does work. 2) with verizonfios stb, it keeps dropping sound and glitches occasionally. Also on some channels tv audio drops out like 30dbs and stays there until you play with vol on remote. Vol db level on rcvr is still what you set it at. Again I think it just loses sync. This maybe on just some channels only.

receiver perfoms very well but lacks dedicated tone controls. for me ,this is unacceptable. had i known this I would have chosen a different receiver. my last receiver (a Denon 2808) was superb. I wish I had it repaired and put back into service.

I purchased only for the denon link which I used before with my older denon models of DVD and receiver. The current version is better but too many functions are no use to me, e.g. multi-room.
