Customers are impressed with the AVR-X4700H's sound quality, ease of use, and setup process. Many appreciate its powerful performance across multiple channels and the inclusion of Dolby Atmos. While some found the price high and noted that the unit can get warm during use, the positive feedback on features and sound quality outweighs these concerns. The receiver's extensive features and capabilities are also frequently praised.

All the inputs and outputs you will ever need , incredible picture on the high end Samsung screen . I used the pre outs to feed a 200W X 7 channel amp I bought to pair with it. The clarity of music and voices and action on tv is incredible. Only used receiver built in amp for the height channels which it drives perfectly. Well worth the investment . The audyssey app to set up the speakers properly is spot on (made me turn down my sub woofer a bit) and the auro 3d for music is just fantastic. The units below this one Denon offers do not offer it. Dooo Ittt!

I am really enjoying my new Denon receiver. I had a previous Denon receiver for over 10 years. This new one is definitely a big improvement. The Geek Squad installed it for me and connected 7 components to it. Ow it can switch between any of these components and have the sound delivered through my surround speakers system. I highly recommend this system to anyone that wants to have total control of their digital systems. The techs even installed Facebook Watch for me so I can view Facebook videos on my 65” screen.

I bought this unit to replace my Denon AVR X2600H that I bought last year and this one is a noticeable improvement over that model. The addition of the 2 channels increasing my channels from 7 to 9 makes a world of difference with even more sound fields such as Imax and the Aero 3D that I get the option to use. The only thing that disappoints me it that that there's only one 8K HDMI output and the firmware hasn't been updated to support that yet. Other than that small hiccup, this was a very satisfied purchase and an awesome upgrade for me.

Made the jump from Yamaha and haven’t looked back. There is a learning curve if new to Denon like myself but stick with it and you’ll master it in no time and be happy with your purchase (for most). It does everything and powers my entire Klipsch Reference Premiere 9.1 system. Additional amplification may be needed for those who want to get absolute max out of a similar system but the receiver itself does a good job with AC Infinity Aircom keeping it cool.

Been a fan of Denon for years now. This one just ups the ante that much more! 8K support with 4K 120hz? Amazing. Easy setup (especially if you use banana plugs) and this time around Audessey wasn’t THAT bad although I do question them making me turn the bass volume down SUPER low but that’s resolved after testing. Definitely recommend this receiver for the slightly higher end user!

Overall a very solid AVR. Clearly a lot of updated features, I bought for its ability to operate multiple zones and to work as a pre-amp. Replaced a 10 year old Marantz, would have probably preferred another slimline Marantz but nothing is in stock anymore.\. Have owned many AVR's and feel like, while features have been added, the technology and approach has not changed as much as I would have expected over the past decade.

Bought this receiver to replace a 4300 series Denon that got toasted by lightning. The Magnolia associate suggested this one as the most direct replacement currently available. I have been happy with the 4300 for a number of years, but I’m positive after a few weeks with the 4700 I will be even happier with it, due to the extra features. Makes me almost glad the lightning struck!

Helos app and internal firmware could be much better by today's standards. Relies on smart phone to use Using a smart TV to do the same things seem easier, sounds better and looks nicer. Product is built well and sounds great. My other Denon receiver works flawless after 20 years. Receivers in general need to operate more like our hand held computers.

This is a great, user-friendly receiver that supports the latest home theater applications. Although this is a 9.2 channel receiver, I actually paired it with an old receiver (serving as an external amplifier) to create an 11.2 surround system that includes 4 in-ceiling speakers. The sound is plenty loud, clear, and wide-ranging, making for some awesome home movie nights during the pandemic.

Great receive! awesome sound great feature. enjoyed all this receive very much. had to return though. I was getting speaker interference from the volume button on the remote. Which started to happen later after purchase. I tried several solutions but couldn't find why that was happening. Maybe me maybe the receiver.
