I've used Denon for years. Have continued to upgrade through their lines of receivers and dove into HEOS when it was introduced. I've never been disappointed. Why? Sound quality was always better than I expected, the features accommodated me very nicely, and the (receiver) APIs allowed for endless integration. I replaced my BOSE Acoustimass 10 IV with this bar and two HEOS 1 HS2 speakers. This setup even without the HEOS subwoofer will shake your eyeballs. In a good way. I honestly I purchased this bar to work in tandem with a Denon HEOS receiver in hopes to just go wireless with all of my speakers as cables are a real pain. However, this puppy is its own receiver and Denon doesn't do two receivers in one system happily, so keep that in mind. All in all my only gripes would be the app to configure everything isn't awesome. It does work, you just have to tinker to get what you want, oh and there IS phone support. I also might have paid more for a 7.1 version and plopped two more HS1's around the room. Talk about shaking some eyeballs.

This thing is amazing! Features like night mode, dialogue enhancer, and movie or music mode are so amazing. Also you can have quick presets for the inputs and setting set on the app and the silly little remote it comes with. I am 100% blown away by this soundbar. Also we have a nose soundtouch 300..this is better.

Clarity is really good, definitely gets more than enough bassy for my liking, and can for sure get loud! App doesnt look the best but it has everything you need (including a dialogue enhancer sound profile). Definitely recommend.

    Sonos systems were the pits

Returned Sonos playbar and sub for Heos sound bar and sub. One gazillion times better. Sound would cut in and out with Sonos so we exchanged (and paid a little extra) for the Heos sound bar and sub (recommendation from a Best Buy employee). Had this system for a few weeks now and have had no problems. Great sound quality, and wouldn't trade it for anything.

This box arrived via UPS, Felt bad for the guy delivering it because it was son bulky. I returned it because it would take a lot of space. Keep in mind the size.

The soundbar itself sounds good. I bought it mainly because it was 600.00 during black friday and has 4 hdmi ports. It sounds fine but the switching of audio between hdmi ports is so-so. It doesn't recognize my apple tv.

We moved into a large home with a TV already installed. TV speakers only...yuck. We bought this sound bar and it transformed our TV! The soundbar provides clear and full audio and makes our viewing awesome. It also gave us another great Heos speaker to crank out the house. We haven't found a need to pair up more speakers to it yet, but it's nice to know that we can. It is also super easy to install. This was a great purchase!

Setup is not the best, but once I figured it out it works great! Sounds fantastic. Best Buy setup using optical due to less issue than hdmi.

This is a high quality product. The hardware is fabulous, the software could be more intuitive. I have the subwoofer and additional speakers and have trouble combining them in the software and being able to use the speakers separately.

Speaker was very easy to setup and it sounds great right out of the box. Looking forward to hearing how well it handles things over time, especially after I add the wireless subwoofer.

Great quality of sound, but had the following issues: - Connectivity issues with remote. - Heos 3 surrounds kept disconnecting and having distorted sound. - Loud squeal sometimes at start up. - Frequent firmware failures that would require factory resetting and re-updating the speakers. - App is not user friendly If I had the chance again I would go with a Sonos system instead of Heos even though Heos has better flexibility.

    Poor firmware, multiple issues

I am quite upset with how Denon is treating it's customer base. I , alongside with another user below, currently have issues when surrounds are grouped. The bar will now have odd sounds from time to time and the two rears have crackling/popping sounds. The bar itself is amazing but once paired with rear surrounds it is abysmal. I have invested alot into the heos system and would like some type of update to fix this. So far all I have been told is that this is a known issue and an update will fix it.....no ETA. I really hope they fix this soon as I will be returning all my heos units if they do not. I also wanted to add what I recently sent them 1.--------------------------------------------- Issue: Sound bar would not pair with subwoofer. Action Taken: Initially contacted your Heos support staff and reported the issue. The customer rep guided me through a ton of typical resets/connects/disconnects which yielded nothing. He then informed me the bar must be defective and to return it to Bestbuy for another unit. Result: Swapped the purchase for another unit at Bestbuy and voila! Finally it worked! 2.----------------------------------------------- Issue: Popping/crackling sound coming from newly pair rear Heos 1s as well as chipmunk sounding voices from bar. Action Taken: Contacted your customer service department yet again. I informed them that there was a faint crackling popping coming from the newly grouped rear speakers as well as the Heos Bar. They guided me through the typical connects/disconnects/resets which yet again yielded nothing. He then made me sit on the line for about 10 minutes whilst he consulted a tier 2 tech. He informed me that this was a known issue and it would be updated in a future firmware patch. I inquired as to an ETA and was told he had no clue when there would be a new patch to fix this. Result: Disconnected my rear speakers until a patch is "released". 3.-------------------------------------------------- Issue: I now noticed a reasonable lip sync delay in the sound bar to tv. (Approx 166ms) Action Taken: I went ahead and connected the TV via another HDMI connection on the Heos Bar, Changed settings on the TV, changed setting on the Heos Bar, tried a new HDMI, and even tried hooking it up to another TV to ensure it was localized at the bar level. Result: Emailing you as this is my third issue with a product that has an extremely high cost/value ratio and should be held to higher standards then the cheap $100 dollar sound bars.

Absolutely love them. I purchased two for my new bar and game room. I couldn't get speaker wire out there (tile floor) so I purchased these (7's). They work and sound excellent. When you buy two and place them in same room the App will ask you to pair them for stereo sound. I was looking at SONOS but didn't care for look and sound. These by far have a better look and sound. I also purchased the Heos bar, two Heos 3's and a subwoofer for my Den. Unbelievable sound for movies and music. Everyone that's comes over and hears it are blown away by the surround sound. To finish it off I purchased a Marrantz 11-2 reciever with Heos. Now I have three rooms to listen and control music through my App. Very pleased.

    Disposable speakers, horrible app

Bought 5 speakers (3x 1, 5 & soundbar). The 1 stopped connecting after a year and the cost to fix exceeds a new purchase. Obviously planned by Denon. Consistent connectivity problems with all speakers and Denon support is either slow to respond or ignores promps. App is worthless with too many bugs to mention. Using from Spotify app works great, go figure. Definitely don't recommend buying. In fact, this sours me on all Denon products due to engineered disposability and crappy service.
