...Are EXCELLENT! Look. I am a big fan of internet radio and streaming music and I was all set buy some of the wonderful Bose Soundtouch series for my home, but... ..But I already own a Denon HEOS equipped AV Receiver and two HEOS 1 HS2 speakers. These 5 HS2 models are just as capable but with a superior compliment of powered drivers. The sound is most excellent and even more important, they don't upset my wife with their looks in the living room. They play my Pandora, SiriusXM and a bunch of internet radios stations that cost nothing and add enjoyment to my life. I recently started a subscription to Amazon Music HD and Ultra HD and all the HEOS HS2 series are capable of playing these lossless files and I can attest that said files are reproduced via these HEOS speakers superbly! So then...What more can you ask? Well for starters each speaker can be used alone or in a group. Each speaker doesn't need anything other than electricity and the app on your phone. I have a Denon HEOS equpped speaker but it is NOT required to use these speakers! That means you get the benefits of these excellent speakers as standalone units. Yup. You can even play different stations on different speakers in different rooms at the same time. If you choose to play the same music to all speakers throughout your home they are all (in my case at least!) perfectly synchronized. No lag as it uses your WiFI not blootoof. But you can use blootoof if you want and it works just fine with the exception of possible lag when it's to more than one speaker at a time. Setup was a bit time consuming but that was due to a problem connecting via bluetooth as the manual asks you to do, so I went the other route and connected directly to a wireless extender via Cat 6 cable and BAZINGA! Superb-A-Mundo! It really is that easy-peasy-macn-n-cheesy. I highly recommend these and all HEOS products. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

I bought a HEOS 5 speaker a year ago, using it on my outside deck. It has worked even better than expected but for some reason I didn't get another one to use in my living room until I saw them on sale for %25 off!. I now have two of them and can listen to the same music inside and out or different music in both locations if preferred. Setup can be a little tricky if your Wifi is not strong in both locations. I occasionally have to put in my password on the outside speaker when using them with different music sources. When they both play the same music there's never been a problem. I've read numerous reviews about the app being hard to use but I haven't had that problem at all. App is very easy to use and has plenty of music sources to choose from including my NAS server where I store my HI-Res music library which HEOS plays nicely. I have no complaints at all with my HEOS system.

This thing sounds amazing. It plays a lot of sources and does a great job with it. My only gripes are that it doesn’t have AirPlay and sometimes refuses my Spotify connect

With the purchase of these HEOS 5's, I now own 6 HEOS speakers in total, along with the HEOS capability built in to my Denon AVR. The sound from these is terrific. Set up was easy. I got a couple of the battery packs for the HEOS 1 system and now have portable sound for my porch and also for my cabin. The 5 series is literally right in between the 1 and the 7's that I currently have. I have them in both bedrooms and they work great. No problem filling the whole room with sound at all. The speakers easily went between my WiFi at my house and then to my cabin so that was a nice feature as well.

We spent literal hours looking and listening at every system Sonos, Sony, JBL, Bose.... these stole my heart, well ears if we are technical. They are the most audibly pleasing with amazing highs and superb lows....unfortunately Denon appears to have invested ALL of their time in development of these astonishing speakers that they overlooked the lackadaisical prowess of the app in which you control them...but with all apps, hopefully they will come out with a new update in the future that will allow the app to compare with the speakers.

I used the older model Heos 5 for more than a year on my outdoor deck. It was easy to set up and sounded great but it couldn't do Hi-Res and I was into the clear crisp sound associated with lossless recordings. I upgraded to the new Hi-res compatible Heos 5 Hs2 and haven't looked back. It is a great update and plays all my recordings that are stored on my Western Digital NAS drive. The Heos app works flawlessly and Heos is constantly updating the app to keep up with the latest technology. I couldn't be happier with my Heos 5 Hs2 (unless I get another!)

If your are looking for an upgrade to your surround sound and music system...SKIP THIS PRODUCT. It doesn’t Stay connected and the updates take forever. The APP is really bad. Once I connected for like 2 songs it sounded great. But, there are way to many bugs and ease of use issues with the app. I returned it all and went with a more expensive brand. Save your money and get a different system.

Product has great sound quality and works out great with wireless feature.

Sound quality is really good but the integration with Alexa was not so good. In the end I returned this and got the HomePod instead.

After reading the reviews, all claiming the Heos 5 had very good sound quality, I had high expectations, unfortunately, I was disappointed. It's OK for a Bluetooth speaker, but not great. Boomy bass that overpowers the highs and mids. Reducing the bass didn't help. The app works well.

Excellent sound quality, easy to connect and app is very user friendly. I returned 9 Sonos speakers due to many issues. No issues at all with HEOS. I highly recommend them!

This is an excellent speeaker we have downloaded the app and listen to it outside on our patio. It is so nice being able to salon out with the speaker with no wires and listen to ur music- Pandora, I-Heart, Sirius and off our receiver you can listen to it all

Excellent sound...strong bass with no distortion. My only wish is that they were waterproof for outdoor use.

Well made with solid sound. I like the USB input that sold me on Denon over other models. I still haven't figured out how to connect the HEOS system to Alexa and make everything play the same thing but I assume it's possible. Also had a lot of trouble connecting the speaker to my Wifi but after waiting all day to speak with tech support we finally got it figured out.

Overall the sound from this is really awesome. That said, the app to control it is a bit clumsy and does not coordinate great all the time. Hopefully, Denon pushes a firmware update that fixes some of the issues. I would still recccommend it to others.

Easy to setup and great sound Seamless connection with rest of HEOS system

Denon did a great job with these speakers. I have a Denon receiver with HEOS, and 2 of the small HEOS 1's and needed something for a bigger room. The HEOS 5 is more that adequate to fill a larger room with great clear highs and mids and more than enough bass. I actually turn the bass down in the control app EQ because of how much bass is produced. Very happy.

We loved this speaker so much we bought three. Perfect fit for our family and works seamlessly with our existing system and iPhones.

Good speaker with nice sound. I got this to go with my Heos enabled receiver has many streaming options but does not work with apple music.

I picked this up as an upgrade to the free HEOS 1 that Marantz was offereing when I purchased my pre/pro. It doesn't play Apple Music so if you don't have music on your phone or do one of the supported stations (pandora etc) it's not worth purchasing. The sound is okay. The only way to get any decent lower end was to place it in the corner of a room. This will make it sound a little boomy but will give you much more bottom end. The fact that is does not play Apple Music was a deal breaker for me so I did return it and will keep the free HEOS 1 in the box until the day they add Apple Music.
