I had been a fan of another brand for many years. This receiver looked great and I am very happy that I made the decision to move to Denon.

Good product for the price that you pay for it. Easy to set up and sounds good. Would recommend.

We purchased this because our old one needed to be up graded. It works great and we where able to take our system wireless.

I'm not tech savvy so had to have geek squad install but the sound is so much better than what we had. Love it!!

Make sure you have a monitor so you can set up, other than that great product

its a ok product , , not many application .. although 5.1 channel , it still lacks advanced features . if you find options go for that

Purchased three different units and had problems with each one. I own a AVR 1917 which is about two years old and I love it. When this unit came on salt I jumped at the chance to upgrade a thirty year old Carver. The AVR 1000 became a huge disappointment. I replaced this un it with a Yamaha R-s700 which I am happy with. It does not have the features of the AR1000 but the sound is spectacular, and sound is what a receiver us all about. I will praise Best Buy for working with me to find a solution and ultimately crediting my account. Best Buy is a great organization.

I bought this reciever and it hasn't never worked. I usually buy electronics on my visits to the US and fly back with them to Africa and makes returning them difficult. So i bought this Denon reciever and it powered up but hung up at firmware update. I have been looking at it for now 2 years, some times i try to plug it in hoping for a miracle. Nothing.

It sounded flat compared to the Onkyo. So returned it and bought a new Onkyo receiver.
