As far as a basic starter goes, this was a good addition to our sound system. The auto play makes it simple. Would have been nice to have digital connectivity but RCA adapters made connecting a snap.

Chose this one for its ability to play 33 and 45. Easy to connect. Probably won't use USB out but good to have if I change my mind.

It works well for me because it does what it claims it will do. The install instruction's were better than the Sony that I returned. The USB connection in the front rather than the back is quite handy! So far I am happy with it.

Turntables need to have a damped lift - bought this unit anyway because of the recording to drive feature but really miss not having a lift - it's very difficult to raise and lower the arm by hand into the middle of the record without the needle jumping around. Also, the software it comes with or audacity are really difficult to figure out how to use.

    STAND ALONE ROCKS!!!

I have tired, greatly, of inherent software conflicts when trying to convert my vinyl records to digital. This turntable eliminates a computer and software issues, by capturing your records directly to a thumb drive. It saves the record as a MP3 file, which is useable with most applications. If I had any complaints, it would be the back of a small built in speaker. I mean, it I am p,aging the record, why not be able to listen to it??!!! But that is very minor. I have captured about 80 LP's, without a single issue. Buy this. Good price, and it does exactly what you are looking for, if you are reading this.
