This Steelbook release for Desperado is a simple re-package of the existing Blu-Ray disc. The outer design could easily be used for any of the three films in Robert Rodriguez's Mexico Trilogy, and doesn't truly reflect anything unique for this Antonio Banderas pseudo-sequel to El Mariachi. The BD itself is a good transfer with solid audio, and the same features from the Special Edition DVD set. It's a nice upgrade from standard def, and well worth checking out for any 90's action fans!

Desperado, the sequel to El Mariachi, is finally out on blu ray and in a cool steelbook exclusive to Best Buy. Action packed and a bit over the top. Antonio Banderas is the guitar-playing, drug-kingpin-hunter in this one with Steve Buscemi as his side-kick and Salma Hayek as his squeeze. Lots of people get shot by lots of bullets. Cheech Marin and Quentin Tarantino have memorable roles as does Danny Trejo, who plays one of the bad guys (go figure). Very entertaining. The steelbook art isn't as good as some of the others but is still pretty cool. Get some popcorn and enjoy!

Quite surprising that this movie received a real cool and unique steelbook cover, and if you find it at a low enough price, the movie is likable enough to own it as a collector's item. Probably meant for Robert Rodriguez fans. The movie looks a vit sharper, but some scenes looks flat. Not much in the way of special features. Its quite barebones. The Steelbook is the only thing that is really cool.

This is an action packed movie, always liked It, even when it was on VHS. Although there is a lot of violence, and blood shed from start to finish. Not for children or adult with weak stomachs. For a Blu-ray it was not the best transfer that i've seen, the sound was good DTS HD 5.1.

I loved this movie when it came out in theatres and still do. It qualifies as one of my favorites. Although it is a remake of a Mexican film, it packs a lot of action with a steady storyline. Even the subtle comedic jabs are on point. Not a family film but could be a date movie due to the love story.

The kill everybody, get the hot girl, and ultimately get all the bad guys vehicle is back on Blu-Ray disc, but this time, it comes in a pop art, limited edition steelbook case. I was a fan of this film the first time I saw it, and continues to be one of the favorites in my collection.

My review isnt of the movie because everyone knows its a fun action film by Robert Rodriguez. I am reviewing the steelbook and it is amazing. I like when Steelbook art is creative and not just generic shots from the movie. These pop art steelbooks are all amazingly creative.

Robert Rodriguez never fails to entertain. A sequel to his early film , El Mariachi , a guitar player who comes back for revenge. Antonio Banderas plays it perfectly , along with Salma Hyack. Danny Trejo appears as well. Haven't seen it yet , well , don't miss it.
