If you're reading this I am sure you've read countless other reviews online about this game. It does feel a bit like Halo. This game is mostly fun, it's a little harder for the casual player because it does take some time and effort to "level up" and frankly I feel like the rewards are mostly "chance" rewards. I suppose it keeps it fair but it also frustrates you once in a While. Especially after spending hours completing a bounty haha. Overall the game is pretty fun especially if you have friends to play with

To be honest when I first played Destiny I wasn't overly impressed & I almost considered taking it back to get a refund because it just didn't seem that fun fighting AI that allows you to run away & regain health when they have you near death, it just seemed too easy & repetitive. Also, the graphics although good don't make me so oh my god this game looks amazing like I said when I saw Madden 15 & Last Of Us for the PS4, but then again this is Bungee & they've never made games look too pretty. And then tonight I played with some friends & boy did my feelings change, it was extremely fun & we actually ran into some tough situations & had to revive one another a few times but it was at this time that I noticed that enemies have different levels so it explains why earlier in the game I felt like I was playing a bunch of noobs. Also, as I ranked up I started getting cooler weaponry & armor to customize my character with so maybe, just maybe I can have fun with going alone on missions in the future, we shall see. So if you're a person that rather play alone Destiny might not be what you're looking for but if you're someone who always plays with friends anyway then this is your Destiny & you must play.

I play this game almost everyday. With the new updates, there is a lot to do. Granted it can be repetitive, but playing with friends make it worth it.

Of all of my PS4 games, I play this one the most. Although missions can be repetitive after a while, I continue to play this game since Bungie keeps developing expansions ($20) that bring new missions, character abilities, weapons, etc. I will note that one drawback is the requirement to purchase a PlayStation Plus account to access online content, although I do see this trend continuing across more games as Microsoft already requires users to pay for online access for their Xbox.

Best multiplayer shooter to have fun online for hours with friends. Story was lacking but multiplayer makes up for it.

This game is incredible. I truly enjoy playing it every day. I am considering quitting my job so that I can become a professional Destiny player!

The game looks good. The story is really short and the grinding can get cumbersome after awhile but is a good game.

The story is kind of boring but the online play is a lot of fun. If you liked playing Halo you will like this game.

Destiny is a wonderful game to play, and I find it hard to put down. From the social interaction to the community of players itself, it is one of the best online cooperative games I have played. The mechanics of the game are great, which I expected considering it's the same company that created the Halo series, but that's where it stopped. The story it's self leaves a lot to be desired, but maybe this could be fleshed out more in upcoming updates and dlc. Also the loot system is a little broke in my opinion. In other shoot and loot games you are rewarded pretty regularly for the time you put in, but with Destiny it seems the rewards are a lot fewer and far between. If it wasn't for the solid game play it would make the experience and leveling more of a nightmare. Overall this is a great game and I find myself coming back to it time and time again for the game play and the great social interactions that I have experienced ever since it was released. A wonderful masterpiece albeit it's loot system and story. Something you and your friends can continue to play for a long time to come.

Although the story is lacking it will still hook you in to playing. Addictive and fun. And it is on sale right now for $39.99!! Def a buy

I played mostly solo. The shooting feels great. The story is just awful and the story missions are just really bland and repetitive. Not a lot of content in this game either unless you replay the same missions over and over. The crucible was pretty fun. Overall, if you have some friends that play it it might be worth it but i got kinda bored playing solo or with randoms.

I bought this game right before the Taken King came out since it was on sale. The game is fun and a bit different than other FPS in the way that you work with/run into other players during the game. This becomes annoying when you just started playing and roll up on someone who is a higher level than you and you get destroyed by the baddies that they are fighting. Other than that it is a game worth checking out if you can pick it up on discount.

Spoken in the view of a PC gamer first & foremost: This is a great game. There are minor issues here & there that people turn into a big deal. However, this being a new franchise, let alone game, that should be expected. As it stands, Bungie is actively listening to their community and actively patching the game. I'm not a console, or Bungie "fanboy", as I am first and foremost a PC gamer for years. That said, this game I give 5 stars, appreciating the craftsmanship of, and issues that arise with, a new franchise. Pros: - Feature-rich - Great story (SP & MP ability) - High replay-ability - Create characters from the skin out - Ongoing communication from a great developer - Enemies aren't ALL dumb. Cons: - Story is fairly repetitive. If played on a regular basis, this could get boring. - Matchmaking could be better in Crucible - Weapons could be a little more balanced - Need to improve voice comm. (add voice with entire team in Crucible even if not in fireteam - but also add mute function) Overall, this is a great game, that will only get better!

Amazing and Incredible. I can't wait for the upcoming new DLC next month. My cousins and I play everyday and we can't get enough of it. Great Single and multiplayer experience. Not a quick to the finish game. More of a journey which will have some ups and downs and will require some patience on your part. Very satisfying and quite epic! Lots and Lots of guns! And love the co-op style of game play that lets you truly enjoy the journey with the one's your playing with. Give this a try, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED!

Really awesome game that's fun and addicting. Bungie definitely nailed the gameplay but not really the story. Overall, great.

This is a great game with tons of weapons and armor to get. The storyline is good and the multiplayer battles are so much fun.

A FPS with a dash of MMO thrown in works out pretty well. While the RPG-like leveling invariable makes competitive multiplayer rather frustrating at times, Lv. 6 players going up against Lv. 18, the quest for better loot makes the game quite addictive. On the technical side, the game is very impressive without a hint of slowdown even during the the most chaotic battles. There have been a few occasions of texture pop-in, but they are very few and far between. Where the game struggles mightily is in its story telling and world building. The generic names for every faction gives you a good idea about everything else: it’s all so generic. Despite how gorgeous the visuals are, there really isn’t anything very distinctive about them. Despite the use of wonderful actors, the dialogue is mundane exposition and eye roll-inducing portents of doom. Maybe the story will get more interesting later, but in the early stages, it serves as merely some downtime for you to catch your breath from the last firefight.

I really really like this game. I play it as often as I can. It does get a bit tedious and repetitive and gaining the necessary materials to upgrade a weapon can just be a hassle. I was the first person to by this game and it took some convincing to get my friends to buy it since the reviews by critics werent to good. They started to buy and we started to play. Being able to progress through the story mode with friends is a cool feature. The raids that you can do with 6 people are the best.

...with slightly less content than desired. The game mechanics are great, Multiplayer is satisfying-- altogether it's a great game. The initial hook is lackluster and not flashy, but I found myself wanting to go back again and again, so I know it's got a grip on me. Endgame content does have a bit of a grind, so I've cooled off a bit on it, but I keep wanting to go back for weekly and monthly events, and await the DLC eagerly.

The story is terrible, gameplay gets boring as you try to level up. The best part of it is the end game. Once you level up you can do raids to get better gear and level up over 20. All I can say is I am glad I didn't pay for this. I waited until it was a bonus item for buying the PS4 and picked it up. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth paying for.
