Wife broke down and got me a PS4 and Destiny for Christmas this year. I have to say, this game is one of my favorite games for the console. The story mode is online and can be played with friends, always something new to do any try, and is very competitive. I play 2-4 hours at night during the week and hate having to log off. Awesome game, definitely recommend, and can't wait for more expansions!

I cant stop playing the game. Awesome improvements and amazing new choice of weapons

The game was a giveaway with a new console and I thought the previews were cool so I figured I'd check it out. Well so far I can't stop playing it. It can be fun by yourself from time to time, but like most other MMO's, you'd best play with others online. It helps when you have a group you know. Take advantage of the party chats, take your time and learn what you can. There's a TON to the game.

Destiny is a great game, and they are continually trying to make improvements to it. This package includes the base game, and three expansion packs, perfect for anyone looking to jump on board now. It's also a good deal for those who maybe played the base game only, but want to get back into it, as it's cheaper to get this than to buy the expansion packs separately. Happy hunting, Guardian.

I didn't know much of this game at first and my friend recommended it to me. When I got home I started to play back in November in 2015, it's 2016 and I still can't stop playing this game. I would recommend this to everyone as your 1st game, because you can raid with your friends, level up on your own and get exotic and legendary equipment. It's a really good game and highly addicting.

Great game, good graphics, enjoyable story and excellent multiplayer experience.

My son loves this game. He enjoys the game play, working to get new weapons and the challenges.

destiny when it launched was good but become a drag after awhile with the lack of rewards and variety but now with the legendary edition with the first two expansions plus the taken king, there've been massive improvements with drop rates and rewards for completing tasks as well as the multiplayer so id recommend this for new players or players who have not bought the first two expansions as its totally worth it

Great game overall, this update gives users access to all the previous DLCs. PS store offers these online individually but in my opinion it is much better to just buy this game (for the same price as online) and you not only get the original game but also gain access to all the DLCs for Destiny. Its a great game with lots to do, definitely worth purchasing as a whole.

Destiny the Taken King takes a lot of the things that were aggravating about the core game and improves upon them to make for a better MMO experience. From the better storytelling and narrative to the improvements in the leveling and mission structure, Destiny is now a much better game that it was for the first year of of its existence and one worth recommending.

Overall a great value with the amount of content you get but its worth noting that the 2 expansions and The Taken King were cut from the original game to be sold as DLC. If you are buying this for the story you may be disappointed. This game is meant to be played online with friends, it's not much of a single player experience.

With all the added features and expansions one one disc, you get a better feal for what Destiny should have been. Great gameplay and online capabilities. Be sure to look at the included booklet for the code in order to download the expansion packs and taken king, and to jump to level 25. Many people have missed this and thought they had to play through the game and ended up leveling up anyway.

It's a extended version of Destiny but a new story, weapons, armor, and characters.

It's basically a pick up and play type of game which I love because I have college stuff. It basically just do this and shoot enemies and then a boss battle. It's very fun to just relax and unwind to this game. The graphics are pretty nice too. It's very addicting to just keep playing. It reminded me of Borderlands gameplay alot but in this one you can have some part as third person view.

So far, I'm impressed with the gameplay and graphics. I'm a little lost in the sense that I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. Maybe if I had played the first game I'd have a better idea of what's going on. I am going back and forth to see what to do instead of having the game take me to where I need to go. I think as I play it more I'll figure it out and get a better understanding.

Poor mans HALO. Interesting game play and online play means endless playability.

I originally bought this game when it first came out (Vanilla Version). Then, the game had so much potential and was a little annoyed to learn that I had bought what felt like a bare bones game. Don't get me wrong, the game worked (you could play multiplayer, the missions worked, etc). It just didn't have any story and was pushed as an FPS (first person shooter) with MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) RPG (Role Playing Game) elements also with DLC (downloadable content). Fast forward to now and the 3rd DLC is now out but as a seperate game and again for sale as $59.99. It really didn't justify another release with the upgrades to the story and weapon management systems. The Vanilla Version also had some weapons that were only specific to that erase that can no longer be purchased, however the developers have tweaked those weapons to the point that they've become useless. It definitely makes the initial purchasers of the game feel betrayed when they've stuck with it and played those grueling hours just to get a randomly generated special weapon. I would only purchase this game when the price point drops below (I did through a price match). Then it makes a little more sense considering I also get the other 2 DLC that were overpriced ro begin with. Although it's an addicting game before this expansive edition, it doesn't justify paying ANOTHER $60 just to play it.

Greatly thought out story line. Hours and hours of game time

I, like many others, found the original, base Destiny game a bit devoid of content. It was fun and there was plenty to do, but the story was difficult to follow and seemed to end abruptly. I was looking for more and I'm glad I waited for the legendary edition of the Taken King. The first two expansions were very light in content but i'm glad they were included too, but the real winner here is the Taken King. It adds the core story that was missing from the original with tons of new cut scenes and a really enjoyable story. There's plenty to do, and I was very pleased with this expansion as a whole. I'd definitely recommend it this edition of the game, especially if you've never played Destiny before (this comes with the base game too)!
