"This game is Halo's brother and I like Halo." It is very well balanced, and I like where they have the multiplayer and campaign menu combined.

Destiny is a good game...as long as you know what you're getting. It is not your everyday FPS (First Person Shooter). It implements many RPG (Role Playing Game) elements: i.e. collecting armors/weapons, upgrading armors/weapons, gaining experience to level up your character, etc. If you do not enjoy grinding/farming (playing areas or killing enemies repeatedly in a kind of repetitive way), I would not recommend this game. I enjoy the grind sometimes so Destiny is a 4/5 star game for me. Since I assume most people do not enjoy the rgind as much as I do, it is more of a 3/5 star game for the average person. Story is very lacking. Graphics are good. Multiplayer PVP (Player vs. Player) is fun. There are plenty of ways to play co-op with 2 or 5 other people as well. If you can have a full team of friends playing it makes the game much more enjoyable. It is definitely lacking but I have faith that new DLC (DownLoadable Content) will help. Another thing to note, is that if you do not have the paid online service (Xbox Live Gold or PSN Plus) you can not play this game. All in all, I say that if you like leveling up your character as you play games, you like FPSs, and you don't mind grinding to get better gear, and don't mind the lack of story, I would recommend this game. If you are unsure about some of the games components I would say try to play it first or at least watch some gameplay footage before you buy it.

An amazing game well worth the money! I bought this for my sons and they love this game. The graphics are fantastic! The storyline is intriguing... and the online play is a lot of fun. They enjoy this game and play it on a regular basis. I'd recommend this game to anyone who wants a little something different than the usual first person game. Enjoy!

So graphic and audio are very nice even for the Xbox 360, so can only imagine how much better it would be on a new console. My only gripes..... 1. Some of the challenges are pretty tough if you're a player going at it alone. I saw some game play on line using two people and it took them like 15 minutes versus my hour and I still was unable to complete the challenge. Your player starts off pretty week and some of the challengers will take a lot of hits before getting rid of them. 2. You go to complete a mission and you do. However sometimes if you select another mission you have to go back through an area you already cleared only to have to fight again. Also some missions make you go back to areas you have already been except this time it will let you go a little further. 3. Some of the bosses are extremely tough. Best to use a tactic of shoot and pull back to avoid damage. One of the hardest challenges is the one about opening the array.....there are three waves of hoards and then three bosses. If you make it past the first wizard and say you die right after that....you guessed it, all the way back to the beginning....that part is not fun....

My son loves the game the graphics are great and for once the game is not overly violent. It does need a lot of memory to be able to play on your gaming system so something to take into consideration when making this purchase.

The graphics are good, the button layout is good and I like the multi player setup. It's all multiplayer, all the time. When youre doing a story mission or a death match. I also really like the customization features.

    Destiny Xbox 360 Review

    - The game is definitely a good play. It's a fun mixture between a Halo-esque shooter and an RPG which is pretty fresh. The amount of content in the initial release is lacking in my opinion especially because Bungie tries to give it an RPG feel. After a while it definitely feels like RPG grinding which I can accept without a problem however, there is a difference between this and there just not being enough content. To me there just isn't enough content which looses a star for me. The other major beef I have with the game is the tech support. If you don't have a gold account and the internet you can't play at all. The game runs seemlessly if it runs at all. Randomly you will get error codes instead of lag which will prevent the game from launching, kick you off the world or pvp patch your playing, or kick you all the way out of the game. They happen randomly and repeatedly. It's happened to me for literally days at a time. Super frustrating! You want to talk about a rage quit? Try not being able to play for more than 30 seconds at a time for a whole weekend when you set it aside to play with buddies. NAT type is super important so if you play from a hotel or dorm plan to have more issues than if you can control the router's NAT type. With that being said, it's pretty. It's fun. It's addictive at times. I'm hoping they will fill in the gaps with what is to be desired in the expansions. Just like Halo, they know you're going to buy it so what does Bungie really care.

As a mom, I was pleased to see that this game was rated "T" instead of "M". I am not a gamer, just a mom who buys a lot of video games as gifts. My son says the graphics are great and he likes the weapon selection. He enjoys the online play. He was disappointed with the Vanguard armory pack that came with the preorder. He thought he would automatically have the guns available, which they are not. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. However, I do wish it had the option to play offline also.

This is one of my favorite games on the xbox 360 to play with friends. The story is really good and although a little shorts really tells a fun tale. The way the combat works is where this game shines in that the classes each feel different with the power sets and there is a weapon for how each person plays. The multiplayer is a lot of fun if you have a team and you work together. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of Bungie or most FPS games.

This is the best and most addicting game that I have played since SkyRim. I know it's a totally different kind of game, but for a first person shooter, this is innovative and I love how you can team up with buddies or randoms online to complete missions. Other first person shooters you can only plan with others while doing PvP environments. Must buy! Although beware, the servers do go down (it seems b/c of cyber hackers) and they are down righ now!

Storywise- SOS Evil is taking over the Galaxy go kill it. Characterwise- it is a re hash of Master Chief and Cortana. Gamewise- I found it similar to Borderlands and Halo, especially the fighting realm of the Crucible. I really like the online involvement from other Destiny players and the way that game difficulty increases as you level up. Another perk is the Armor upgrades actually work and arent just for looks like in Halo.

Great game. The game has touches of Halo, Call of Duty, and Boarderlands all put into one; it is based on multiplayer and has an mmorpg feel to it, but it is an FPS at its core. Online multiplay is great, the story is good but kinda short, and the depth of the game keeps you from getting bored. There is a lot to explore and a lot to unlock and accomplish. I highly recommend this game.

My son loves this game he wants to play all the time. The only issue we had was that we did not know it would require so much memory and we had to buy additional memory for the Xbox to get the game to download. But well worth it excellent game.

When Destiny first came out last year, i didnt have a system to play it on. Fastforward to this summer when i played this game for the first time at my friends house. I was in love. Next day after Destiny goes on sale. Bought it for $15.

I was hesitant about purchasing this game because I was not sure if it was going to be like Borderlands and Fallout (which I love) or Elder Scrolls or other free-range games (which I hate). I was very happy I bought this game because it is awesome! It is very much like Borderlands and since it is from Bungie, there are some Halo type elements in the game. Very fun and even after beating the story missions, there are plenty of other things to do to keep you playing for hours. The only bad part is that you NEED Xbox live to play this game. This means that you cannot play the "single player" story missions offline. Same concept as World of Warcraft.

This is a game that is not for you that just love COD or BF. This is a game intended for those that love WoW and/or Halo. Its a blast when you are playing, but when not playing you feel this desire to want to play. Well worth the money.

The visual quality that this game boasts is amazing. The backdrops will leave you staring off into no where. There is a large amount of game with friends or lone wolf. I am disappointed in Activision forcing Bungie to release this game as early as they did. They are continually releasing patches in order to fix problems. If Activision had been less greedy and allowed for Bungie to release the game when they were ready we would have something that would be more like Skyrim or Halo 3. Unfortunately this game is a solid 4/5 starts. I recommend everyone to buy it but don't buy it for the challenging story line like Halo.
