It's been 4 days and I still can't use my printer. There was a language barrier because all the reps are outside of the US. I work from home and I really need my printer. This is the 2nd experience with this horrible customer service from the Geek Squad.

Total Tech Support? I didn't get any help

Helps out in a pinch, but do follow through
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a printer/scanner/copier issue - all of a sudden my device stopped scanning properly. I'm a notary signing agent so scanning is an absolute necessity. I hit up Geek Squad on chat and they were able to remotely access my PC to research the issue ($40 single-service charge). They indicated that it's a hardware issue (which I doubt because it was working fine one second and just producing glitchy PDF's the next but still functioning mechanically). Anyway, they said I would need to take the device to BestBuy to get the hardware issue fixed, but they could install a scan utility on my computer to use until then. The scan utility worked great - very user friendly and not overly-complicated. But, all good things must come to an end... It stopped working a few weeks later. I tried to get back in touch with Geek Squad to tell them that the fix that they guaranteed is no longer functioning but they don't appear to be able to see my messages every time I try to get in contact with them via chat, and they can't seem to hear me every time I try to get in contact with them via telephone, so I'm back to square one. Overall not a bad service to have handy. Had I had time to take the device to my nearest Best Buy (35 miles) to get the "hardware issue" fixed, I'd probably be fine right now, so I can't complain too much.

INK Cartilage with no ink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I HAD TO PAY FOR THE GEEK SQUAD TO TELL ME THE CARTILAGE DID'T HAVE ANY INK. MY PRINTER KEPT TELL ME THE INK CARTILAGE WAS NOT IN THE RIGHT WAY ON EITHER ONE OR BOTH OF THE CARTILAGES. IT WAS A NEW CARTILAGE. I HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE BECAUSE HOME DELIVERY FROM HP HASN'T SENT ME ANY.

Called Geek Squad for tech support

Recent call to hook up printer and they trouble shooter for 2 hours but couldn’t get connected, not sure why. I will move printer close to router and try again.

I thought I made my problem very clear, but they wanted to do something else than what I asked. They assumed I didn't know what I was talking about. I paid $40 and got nothing fixed. Obviously they are good at helping with standard problems but not specialized ones. I believe I went through 6 people. They got into my computer which bothered me when I just need a ink waste reset code for Epson XP 620.

Sorry I can't remember his name, but I I know the store has it.

Geek Squad got my printer up and running remotely!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek Squad agent helped me figure out why my printer wasn't printing with a remote connection. It only took about 20 minutes from start to finish even though they originally told me it would take one to two hours. I did have to sit at my computer the entire time the agent was working. The agent I dealt with was overseas in India, but he made that very clear from the beginning of the conversation. He mentioned that he had a thick accent but that we would get everything figured out. I did have to have him repeat himself a couple times, but nothing crazy. I was VERY happy with the services I received. I would definately use Geek Squad supper again.

Happy first timer.

I called Netgear and after a couple of tries said I would have to call printer company. Well, they source out and charge on an older printer. So, I called the Geek Squad. First timer, very happy as we got it going in a few minutes. I feel I was some help after hours of trying to get it going. I had learned a lot about router and printer. But could not get it done without the Geek Squad help

Tenacious Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent about 5 hours reinstalling the operating system on a new laptop that was having inexplicable driver issues disabling the touch screen. It shouldn't have been a problem, and required a lot of extra work on the part of the Tech. They happily took it in stride and diligently resolved the issue.
