My sister-in-law bought all the Dexter series DVD sets, they loved them!

This is a really good show its a real good show that draws ya in and hard to stop watching

Lots of tense moments, with a twist from earlier seasons

The fourth season of Dexter really blew me away. Just when you think the show can't get any better it delivers another roller coaster ride of emotions and you just can't wait to see what is going to happen next in the crazy life of Dexter. John Lithgow as "The Trinity Killer" does one heck of a job... If I saw John Lithgow wandering the streets of L.A., I would probably scream and run the other way....lol I would recommend each and every season, but the fourth season is my favorite by far.

The fourth season of Showtime's hit series Dexter is not only one of the best seasons in the series, but in my humble opinion one of the best seasons of any show on the entire network. I will not divulge too much into the plot details so anyone who hasn't seen it doesn't have it spoiled for them. So, here are some basics: - Season guest star John Lithgow shines in one of the best performances of his entire career. - The main and supporting cast all deliver solid performances throughout, and all the characters all have more direction than in the past (and future, in some instances). - The overall production quality of the show and this Blu-Ray release are top notch, as is expected from a Showtime Original Series. I would not recommend starting off watching Dexter with season four, as you will appreciate the characters and plot much more if you have a solid understanding of the universe everything takes place in. However, if you fell off a bit after a lackluster season three, prepare to have your mind blown.

I love Dexter. I mean I really love Dexter and pretty much everything that this series has done. S1 and 2 were superb, though many people dismissed S3 as a stumble I can't say I agree completely, but S4 is the Pinnacle before the slide. Lithgow makes such a great villain in general and here he exudes pure evil all the way to the finish. Dexter and Rita and baby makes three in one of the most unusual families in recent TV memory. The supporting cast led of course by the mouthy Ms Carpenter/Hall/Carpenter makes this one of the funniest shows that has no real reason to ever justify a laugh, but somehow the writers and actors pull that off too. The bluray is more than adequate though it won;t make a demo disc like some of the better movie discs. Like Pavlov's dogs however, as soon as the theme song starts playing and I hear the frying pan sizzle, I know it's time to drop everything.

If you've seen the previous season's you pretty much have an understanding of the show. Season 4 does not disappoint. It keeps you guessing and involved. I don't have Showtime so I buy the season on DVD and watch it. 3 I could keep myself away from, but Season 4 I watched the whole thing in a couple of days. Seeing John Lithgow as I've never seen him before was really interesting and this time the whole season seemed to revolve around Dexter and not a lot of murder's happening throughout. I enjoyed almost every second of the show up till the last minute when I was pretty annoyed the way they ended it. The way they ended it they knew they were going to have a Season 5 (currently on Showtime), but for people like me now I have to wait a year, wondering. Other than that it was excellent, not a boring episode in my opinion!

My personal favorite season. Dexter must hunt down Trinity, a serial killer who works in threes and has eluded capture for decades. When Dexter finally finds him he discovers something unusual. Trinity has a picturesque family and well-rounded life. Is this real? Can Dexter have this, too? Maybe he can actually learn something from this man before his last breath on Dexter's table. Maybe not. Wonderful season. John Lithgow is brilliant. Dick Solomon killing people. Enjoy!

Twists and turn rule this season...no spoilers in this commentary. You'll gain insight into Dexter and why he is the way he is...and you'll see Dexter do things that he has never done before. I consider this MUST SEE materials, John Lithgow, the Season Bad Guy, is really a bad guy that will keep you guessing right up to the very end. I can't wait to get my hands on the next Season.... Enjoy.

This series is extremely "twisted", but it is enjoyable to watch and a little addictive. "You want to see what happens next with the characters." The characters are very well-developed. The story has many turns and surprises, so it keeps the viewers interest and keeps them coming back for more to see what happens next. Kind of strange. The lead character, Dexter, is very likeable. Crazy, when you watch the show, you find yourself rooting for him in the back of your mind, and he's a serial killer! It's just because his character is likeable. His character is very well developed, and you get to know the characters in this series. It is well done. The ending of this season was disturbing for me.

If you like Dexter, this will not disappoint you! Shocks and surprises aplenty all the way thru. Shocking ending will definitely surprise you but there is plenty to make you smile throughout. However, this is one season that CBS would have trouble editing for TV viewing due to all the exposed bodies!

I love Dexter and Season 4 was great. My only complaint is that I decided to buy this season in blu-ray but for some reasons some parts instead of looking crisp clear it looks blurry. Best Buy was great in letting me exchange the product twice but I gave up on the second exchange when it looked the same and realized its the DVD. And yes I tried it on both my blu-ray players and both are connected through HDMI. I just hoped I had known the quality to have saved myself a bit of money and bought the standard DVD edition. Well at least I can still enjoy my favorite serial killer.

This is a great series. Season 4 was very exciting and lived up to all the hype surrounding it. The acting was wonderful and all the characters are very believable. The ending was a total surprise and made me very anxious to see the next season. I would highly recommend this DVD.

I love Dexter and this season did not disappoint!! It was as good or better than any other season. But if you haven't eatched the other seasons, you might want to get them first, even though it is not absolutely necessary. Love, love, love Dexter!!

As usual, the 4th season kept you glued to the tube the whole time. It did drag out a bit towards the middle, but the season finale was a bombshell! I would have never figured it would end the way it did. Can't wait for season 5!

Season 4 of Dexter is definitely the best one so far. John Lithgow was amazing, and the whole cast really stepped it up a notch in this season. Also, the plot twists were truly unexpected and just made for really great tv (dvd).

Easily the 2nd best season of the series so far. John Lithgow was awesome and played his role near flawless. Amazing character development, and if you only own 2 seasons, this has to be one of them.

Season 4 got back to what I believe made the show great. It compared to season 1 as Dexter spent the season hunting down a crazed serial killer. Michael C Hall and John Lithgow were at the top of their game.

Season 4 of Dexter continues to satisfy the avid fan with its witty writing and dramatic flair. I can't wait to see what happens next and I am never disappointed. A must for the fan who saw Season 3.

The product is excellent and having all of the fourth season and sitting down and watching them at leisure and all together helps bring the season all together.
