    Computer restored - but not all my files.

    Got my computer working again, reinstalling Windows 10, but when they reinstalled my files, there were some corrupted but EVERYTHING in my pictures files after the letter D by listing was gone. Folders, photos, anything starting in D through Z was gone. Separate flash drive or not reinstalled for some reason? I knew there would be none of my other installed programs, but I was led to believe my files were all present.

    Didn’t take notes *i asked multiple times if they took them and they said yes* and that resulted in everything on my PC getting deleted. i asked them to MAKE SURE my stuff didn’t get deleted. when i asked to speak to a manager they where very passive aggressive when i expressed that i was upset and that the paperwork wasn’t explained *the paperwork stated that if anything happened it wasn’t their issues which it should have been explained to me* my experience was unacceptable.

    took my computer in to remove a virus it was faster with i took it in when i picked it up an got it home it was not as fast as it were they claimed that it was the computer war jest 3month old

    Tricky Paid Laptop Assessment

    Took a MacPro PC to check why it didn’t turn on and was charged for its assessment. Feedback was that the PC can’t be fixed because the PC has an integrated motherboard which must be replaced to fix it. There are no other parts that needs to be assessed. Since that is the case for these PCs why to charge to assess it if it is already known that the motherboard needs replacement if it does not turn on and that is basically the cost of the PC? No assessment was needed however, it was received just to charge for the assessment which was known in advance. That is a poor customer service and a trick to get people’s charged for a known issue.

    After your site failed to except and update my address changes. I was finally able to get a hold of a live person and they were able to correct the issue professionally and courteously. Thus the 4 rating instead of the 2 rating you were going to receive. Oh, with the geek squad. Personal were great. Your cost for pushing a button vacuums. I was charged 99 bucks to transfer data to an external hard drive.

    The computer would go back to the lock screen every few minutes. They couldn't duplicate the problem but told me if it happened again they would have to dump the system and reinstall. Took it home and was able to find the problem, (bad keyboard), with what they had told me they checked. Have used them before and do recommend using them.

    Kyle did a fantastic job getting my computer Jon& running again. He found a lot of desks for me on the thumb drive & hard drive. Saved over $157 total on the products & saved over $147 by getting the Total Tech Support for a year. He was very knowledgeable in the questions that I had. Go to Best But to get your repair done by the Geek Squad. God Bless Very happy customer We bought a lot of appliances etc here.

    Geek squad not recommended their service is terrible specially the so-called employee of the month or best employee whatever they want to call him. they did a halfway job on my computer runs a little fast but still seems slow. They said it was gonna fix it to run brand new. But that was a lie. Management also terrible. Just as ignorant as the employees. Would not recommend geek squad to no one they don’t care about you or your computer or any Electronic that’s yours.

    Shortly after purchasing an HP laptop for my voice over business, I noticed a distinct sound whenever recorded or play-back audio was monitored. I took it into Geek Squad, (without an appointment, not knowing Geek Squad prefers to work with appointments), and I was not only waited on but was given a great deal of time to explain the issue. I was notified by e-mail of the progress of Geek Squad's technical review and when the laptop was ready for pick-up. These guys are pros, the best!

    I was not contacted when my computer was not ready for scheduled pick-up. I called before going to the store and was told that they need one more day. I would have made an unnecessary drive and waste my time. Otherwise, I would give my review a "5" star. Thank you for helping me with my computer.

    After being told by Geek Squad in Wilmington, De. that the battery had gone bad, we ordered a new one online. Laptop still didn't work. Took it to Geek Squad in Myrtle Beach SC and was told that the hard drive was fried, Replaced hard drive and laptop works fine. Delaware squad was overwhelmed with customers and squished into awkward location. Myrtle Beach squad has much better setup and staff.

    Restoring my PC…

    Even though the Geek Squad did a great job on my PC, the after service was horrible. I couldn’t get ANYONE to walk me through simple set ups of my software. I tried several times a day for over a week. Service after the sale is key for people like myself who are not computer savvy.

    I took my sons year old computer to be repaired and the consultant was very friendly. However, after spending $140, it is no better than it was.

    The geek squad worker was kind.He also listened to my concerns.Finished installing windows 10 and antivirus on my computer.They finished my computer and several days even though they had a other work before me.I made a good decision.Thanks geek guys.You made me happy!

    Geek Squad did not diagnose my computer correctly

    I purchased a membership but asked for my money back. I was told that the motherboard was broken and the computer would have to be shipped out and it would take several weeks.. Yet , when I took it to a Lenovo repair specialist, he easily fixed it. I got it back the next day. It was a BIOS problem. He told me people at the Geek Squad do not know what they are doing. When I asked for my money back, I was referred to some type of billing person who has not given me my money back, so I filed a dispute with my credit card. I will never take anything to Best Buy for repair

    I'm being asked to review something for which there is no frame of reference, so I'm giving a rating of Poor for Best Buy being so vague about something that is meaningless to me. If this is part of an in-store Geek Squad visit I had, I already reviewed that visit. What would I know about any diagnostic Geek Squad performed on my computer during the time they had it separate from any other work they did on it, especially since they never addressed the problem that caused me to have to bring in my computer?

    My kid's laptop was acting up and getting loud and glitchy. After returning home from the Geek Squad, they phoned me to say it's only the fan and gave me the part number to look for. I found it online and within a few days, I got my part and Geek Squad fixed the laptop - good as new. Great call, Geek Squad!

    The agents were great in explaining my laptop and iPad devices. I have Total Tech contract, which help me bring my device in for tune up, questions, and more. Didn’t feel rushed, they made sure all my questions were answered before I left the store.
