Its an awesome humidifier. It does'nt leak at all .

You have to refill everyother day if not it will sound the alarm . Better get the black model better capacity

Having to remove the reservoir to refill it was a mess unless it was completely dry. Filling it, then having to turn it upside down to reinstall it was a horrible design flaw. On top of this, it no longer works. We returning it and buying a different brand.

This review is based on 2 humidifiers - the first one I received was defective (humidity indicator did not work). - Warm mist feature - According to Crane, this is by design only 5-7 degrees warmer than the cool mist. I don't think mine hits 5 degrees. If this feature important to you, don't get this. - Owner's manual - a joke. They did the absolute minimum needed to say they had a manual. - Remote control - pointing directly towards the front, it works, but I still have to press buttons several time for the command to go into effect. - Super quiet. - Output - great. - Removable tank - very easy to remove, fill, replace. The only way to tell how much water is left is to remove and hold up to the light. - Ionizer - works great. - Temperature indicator - seems to be accurate. - Humidity indicator - problems here. For some reason, it never ever shows anything under 20%. I tried it in another room, which has more windows, less insulation. Same result. For a 500 sq foot room, it takes 7 hours for this to go from 20% to 45% (door is closed); I've never seen anything over 45%. So if you want something higher, beware. - Auto turnoff when it reaches a certain humidity level - works, but you won't need it. It assumes the lowest level you want is 45% (goes up from there). But since it takes so long to get to that level, i never turn this feature on. - Crane customer service - at first, received short emails that were not especially helpful. Once I kept pestering them they realized I was not going to give up and they became very helpful.

Too difficult to get set up for usage. Difficult for me to understand and put together especially when it comes to Doing it every time it needed to be refilled Apreciated that filter is permanent

I bought this because it was on sale and it has digital display and remote. I hoped even if it works for an year then it will be worth. It came in a damaged/old package. It seems it was sitting in the store for a while. So far the remote doesn't work out of the box. I tried changing battery and it still doesn't work. I'm still within Best Buy return period. I'll see if other functions work and update my review. Pros: - Very Quiet - Digital Controls and display - Mist goes 360 degrees - Big water tank (size could be a Con for some) Cons (so far): - Remote doesn't work - Remote doesn't work even after changing the battery - Filling the water tank is tricky - It looks compact on the web pictures. But keep in mind it's a little - big - Instructions say you can't put any scented oil etc. I've seen many humidifiers that allow it and acts as humidifier/scent diffuser. - Instruction manual could be better

I had the black one, u can see my review for it, because it's not powerful enough I need to add one more humidifier. I decided to go with this white one because I need all the functions and the only ones come with permanent filter I can find and I want a different style...I thought it would be the same except the look but I was wrong 1) The humidity and temperature reading on this one is not the same as the black one when putting next to each other, especially humidity is diff by ~10%!...I have no idea which one is more accurate thou. 2) Can't see water level 3) The front panel connecting to the base make it heavy and bulky, for me, the design of the black one is easier to handle although the water tank is easier to hold for refilling on this one 3) the warm mist is not as warm as the black one 4) Mist outlet is one whole flat planel which takes up lots of space when putting aside for water refiling and stuff while the black one is just palm size 5) large display is nice but too bright for sleeping. I bought the black one again and going to return this one. These are easy to maintain, each day I just left the parts dry. I used filtered water, with the permanent demineralize filter I don't think I need to do the weekly cleaning...maybe monthly or longer...I don't see any deposits so far.

It has done its job this winter without much hassle. It did have a minor problem with it detecting the water level (it thinks there isn't enough water when it's almost half full) and I fixed it by placing a small object under one side of the humidifier. Just take care of it by cleaning it with vinegar once a week. I had it turned on all the time so I got some funky smell in my carpet. I need to figure out a way to dry the carpet every so often.

First, the design makes no sense because you can't see how much water is in it. But both units I had (returned the first) had the same problem. It would run for 15 minutes or so, then turn itself off because it was "out of water" but it was really still full. And when it thinks it's out of water, guess what, it beeps. How's that for interrupting your sleep? So, I turn it off, turn it on and again, about 15 minutes later it beeps saying it was out of water (NOT....). I returned it and was given a new one. Guess what, same problem. So thumbs down for bad design, beeping when out of water and bad electronics.

anyone who has a child needs this! Perfect assistance with colds and and overall breathing issues, especially with dry heat.
