A good return to the original Dirt series style, the trucks and buggies are a nice addition.

    Not much content

While the racing is enjoyable and the structure of the single player mode is exactly what you would expect if you have played the series before the content is extremely lacking. The career can be beaten in 2 days. You will have to replay old tracks to earn decent payouts for more car purchases. There is hardly anyone playing it, online matches hardly ever start due to lack of people. Rent this game its not worth buying.

The Dirt Games to me were a lot more challenging than other driving/racing games. They seem more realistic to me, especially the track surfaces of gravel, dirt, mud, sand, ice, snow, snow and ice mixed, asphalt etc. The learning curve is pretty big on this one, it was for me anyway, when compared to other games. This game you have to think, hire and pay engineers, set your car up yourself. I wish I had the steering set up. I may go ahead and buy it if these games keep getting better and better this way. Driving this game with a joystick controller is a bear to learn, but it can be done. I would not recommend this game for kids under 18 due to it being so realistic. How ever you can just load it and play it, but to get the full potential I think you would need to be an adult or young adult. Due to keeping and managing a race team, setting the car up, etc...The game is extremely challenging, I can't say that enough, its not like Forza with all that driver assist garbage, this is a lot more realistic..So 1000HP car on Ice, snow and mud going 120mph does take a lot of practice..

Loving it. Dirt Rally was hardcore but this has a casual setting for controls and an excellent training ground with videos core techniques to practice
