Been looking for this movie for awhile. Great price

release date June 1987 only the second time Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey appeared together since Red Dawn. Their chemistry together was just awesome. It's what made the film so good and made it into the classic it is today. It brings back memories from back in the 80's when things seemed so great. The music in the film all classics in it's own right and for anyone that remember good old Cousin Brucie from the radio back in the 60's and 70's will enjoy this too. For all the guys that are thinking this is a chick fill.....think again it's not. It's a good old fashion love story with action and drama.

I'm a big fan of this movie mostly because of the solid soundtrack. It's also a fantastic film with a great cast. 4k picture quality looks good for an older movie. Clothing and skin textures come off well. This 4k version comes with a Dolby Atmos audio mix and it does this movie a great service. The classic songs sound almost brand new. This is a very nice upgrade over the standard blu ray and this movie has never sounded better.

I declined several opportunities to see this movie back in 1987/1988 because I was averse to watching 'chick flicks'. I don't know what got into me but I watched it last year during the pandemic and was surprised that I really enjoyed it. I liked the setting of the movie and the actors across the board. The music is now a source of nostalgia to me. The steelbook has excellent artwork which is much better looking in person.

The steelbook presentation is wonderful. The 4K presentation is a solid upgrade to all of the previous blu-rays. This look is the way the film was meant to be seen. What really puts this disc above all other versions is the audio. If you have a surround system, the soundtrack is a delight. It is incredible. This is not only the way this film should be seen, but it's also the way it should be heard.

The movie speaks for itself. Its a period film that highlights what strange and different directions our society is evolving into, especially thematically. Then there is... Patrick and Jennifer... Music and Dancing... Oh, and the music... the sound specifically, in this version, is at its greatest quality. Worth every penny.

Not my kind of movie but if your a girl who likes romance and dancing, you will love it.

I never saw the movie since at the time it came out wasn't all that interested but saw the 30th anniversary advertised on TV and liked the music so bought it. It's definitely worth it. Again loved the music, Grey/Swayze had great chemistry, story line was good and frankly hated to see it end. Well worth the time and money.

Dirty Dancing has been remastered in 4K UHD with a 24-bit Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and Dolby Atmos mix that looks and sounds better than ever. Comes with standard 2K blu-ray disc and digital code in a SteelBook case with see-thru slipcover. Only one new 12-minute special feature though so you may want to consider that if you already have the bluray. A must for Dirty Dancing fans.

Got this for $35 as a gift for my sister, this being her favorite movie and all. She absolutely loved it. She had seen the blu-ray disc and had already wanted it, as she was used to watching it on VHS as a kid. I told her I wouldn't get that for her yet, since I am big into collector's sets and knew this was on the market. The organization of all the cool things is setup to just continually awe and if you can get this for at least the same price as me if not better I can't recommend it enough for someone who enjoys this movie.

Great movie , great price, definitely recommended especially on bluray

I own the previous Blu-ray release and I was happy with it. But the 4k Steelbook I couldn’t pass up. The 4k is nice; it’s not too much of a difference but u can see slight improvements. I’m happy with the upgrade; I recommend it but if you ya miss out on the 4k, u should be fine w/the blu

Dirty Dancing is one of my top favorite films, so when I saw they were rereleasing it on BluRay SteelBook I knew I had to have it, especially with the gorgeous cover. I had seen other stores release a similar SteelBook, but I think this is the best cover I've seen thus far. Did wish that it came with a digital copy, but I'm very happy nonetheless.

Bought for someone who loves movies from the 1980s.

I actually purchased this movie just because the steel book was so excellent, as lionsgate always does with their steal books. But the movie itself is actually very fun and engaging and will leave you feeling good at the end. Patrick Swayze does a fantastic job and the audio mix and Dolby Vision HDR make this film really pop

Dirty Dancing is a classic film full of dancing, good tunes, forbidden fruit, and good performances from the cast. Good rewatch value. It was the first film to sell over a million copies on home video. Patrick Swayze really gives it his all and even has song that he sings which you have probably heard at some point in your life.

Skipped this release on Day 1 and quickly regretted that decision. Im so glad bestbuy does there poll to see what interest customers most when it come to restocking steelbooks. Dirty Dancing was a childhood favorite and this beautiful steelbook is the cherry on top.

I Love the steelbook collectors boxes, I really like that they're coming out with some of the old Classics in 4k steelbook collectors box . This movie is one of my absolute favorites, so I was pretty excited when I seen it in the 4k steelbook collectors box .

Truly brilliant, I have watch this movie on every format and let me tell you it’s almost like watching it for the first time again in theater. The best picture quality you could ask for and truly outstanding audio performance from this 4K disc. An absolute must purchase.
