Perfect for Disgaea fans who want to play anywhere.

I enjoyed this game enough to buy it as a gift for a friend who I know would like it, but has never heard of it. It's definitely something to sink hours into for sure, as most hardcore Disgaea players will tell you it's all about the end game. This game is like Anime meets Final Fantasy Tactics.

A fun strategy rpg, with lots to do and content...

This is a unique franchise for people who are hardcore into the JRPG/SRPG genre, and a massive time sink if you embrace the level 9999 grind. It runs great on Switch, really no slowdown whatsoever vs the original PS4 edition. It also comes with all DLC, which was a confusing mess when released individually on PS4.

While not pushing any boundaries for the series, this entry is very much in the vein of the Disgaea franchise, but now I can take this game with me on a larger screen. Japanese Strategy gaming at its finest.

Interesting to play, it was my first entry into the series. Can be a lot at the start but can be figured out pretty quickly and is very fun once you get the hang of it!

This is the same ol Disgaea we all know and love. Ridiculous, but super deep gameplay mechanics. Some of the anime and voice acting is cringy, but that's too be expected with this series. Massive time sink. Buy it!

Fun RPG. I appreciate this version comes with all DLC that was released on other platforms. having disgaea portable is really the best way to play it. There are just so many hours you can play this game for. Probably TOO many hours realistically. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

There should be no hesitation. This is my second copy of this game (ps4 and switch) this is funniest strategy rpg around and it's a blast. A really deep gaming system is wrapped around very clever characters.

Really fun and involving game, so much to do, though not super great with young kids... kinda risque graphics and themes if you've entered prude stage of life. :D

If you’re a fan of the series it’s a great addition. If you’re new to the series it’s great fun and the storyline will guide you through everything. Be prepared to spend hours having fun.

If you've played the previous Disgaea games then you know what you're in for. As usual they deliver a basically endless SRPG in their standard style and continue to build on previous games.

I played the demo on the Nintendo eShop and had to have the game by the time I was done with the demo. Great depth, wonderful characters, light and fun tone and overall, a very good tactical-RPG.

The Nintendo switch lets me play hidden gems like this one, and i was not disappointed! Great RPG that i probably wouldn't have played if not for the switch edition!

Disgaea 5 does not disappoint as it combines a new story mode with new characters while reintroducing past characters as playable teammates. Adding an awesome dimension to the game.

Good game that has the DLC added. Has great replay value and honestly is worth your money. I got into it last night and stay up late. You won't be able to put it down.

Don't let the topic title sway you, I love this game. If you like mindless grinding, if you like a huge amount of characters and even huger numbers, buy this now.

It's like this game was designed for the Nintendo Switch! This game is even better with the ability to pick it up and go go go! The battles are great but the story is only so so but the reason to get this game is for the larger than life battles, right guys?

Really great game. Made much better with the inclusion of all the other NIS characters from older series. It was fun seeing the main character interact with older ones.

I have always liked the Disgaea series, but unfortunately have always played them for awhile and just set it down to come back to and ended up forgetting about it. I can say that 5 is a ton of fun, but you have to like that grind.
