I love collecting the steel book series. This one is great for my collection and the price was right! Great plot balance with lots of action balanced with a subtle love interest which smoldered throughout the film. It was satisfying to see good win over evil, and love conquer against all odds! Highly recommend this movie.

When Divergent came out in the theaters I had no desire to see it and I had not read the books. I rented the movie once it was out on Blu-ray and fell in love with it. It made me buy the books and read them. Theo James is excellent and I really appreciated that the movie followed the book. I think its worth picking up.

Started watching not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. This is a good movie with a great story. The characters are believable and played by a number of young up and coming stars. The story crescendos to an exciting finish, then leaves the door wide open for the next installment. Was not disappointing. Looking forward to the next installment.

As war becomes more and more disruptive in our society, people in control will look for ways to resolve the issues and keep the peace. This is just one example of how it would work. Unfortunately, since people have the right to free choice, not everything is going to be resolved in a manner that benefits all.

This movie did really well at following the book. I think it would be helpful for one to have read the book prior to watching the movie, because the book goes into more detail about somethings - but that's just about true for any book-to-movie adaptation. Regardless, the end result of the movie was still very good.

My wife saw this at the theatre, liked it, and thought the male lead was hot, so it was inevitable to end up in our movie collection. The Steelbook is nice and the movie is decent, with the same re-watchability as Hunger Games. It definitely caters to a teen audience, but has enough style and substance for an older crowd. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I love this movie and was excited it was on sale, it was my Christmas present to myself. However, the digital download to VUDU was not what I was expecting. I didn't like having to download another app on my computer to watch the digital version. I thought it would be a regular video file that I could watch in iTunes, unless I'm missing something...

Loved this movie. It reminded me a lot of The Hunger Games, but doesn't have as much of the disturbing premise of Hunger Games. Didn't see it in the theaters thought had friends say they really liked it so I wanted to see it before watching the sequel and glad I did. Now wished I seen it in the big screen.

We bought this for my teenage daughter. She liked the actors chosen for the book characters, the action and the romance. Her only disappointment is that they left out an important part from the book, in her opinion, from the beginning of the story. They stuck fairly close to the book in the movie. We watched it as a family and we all enjoyed it.

I bought this after seeing a preview on another disc and it is a good movie, though I felt the plot timing took a little while to take off. This would be a good compliment to the Hunger Games series even though the dynamics are somewhat different. I liked the concept and I am anxious to see what they do with the rest of the movies in this set.

If you liked the movie Divergent, and are looking to buy it, this is a really nice Steelbook version to watch and collect. It has inside artwork from the movie and artwork on the back. Worth buying since the normal DVD/blu ray is around the same price, but with this one you get more bang for your buck!

I liked the movie overall, but there are things that could have been better thought out like the whole group of Factions. In the beginning you know the 2 kids are going to be choosing a Faction but they don't give you much exposure to what any of the Factions stand for or mean, so it's hard to follow until midway through the movie.

I don't know anything about this movie prior to purchase. I thought Hunger games rip off and at the beginning of the movie still thought it. After a short time it picked up and really changed. yes there are some things that are similar but for the most part its really interesting. I enjoyed it alot.

Completely turned my thought of Shailene Woodley as an actress around. I thought the acting in Secret life of the American Teenager was just horrible and I did not hold her up to a very high standard in the acting community. I don't want to over exaggerate, but a nice step up from what I have seen.

Divergent is the first of 3 movies in the series. Interesting premise about a future society that forces everyone into one of five factions based on their characteristics determined by testing. Main character does not fit into any one faction which is not acceptable. Good science fiction series

If Divergent is anything it is competent. Everything about it screams ambition; what it wants to be and the actual product itself shows it has the ability and the right amount of reverence for the source material to be successful in conveying the spirit of Veronica Roth's novel to the screen. The drawback is that while it is indeed capable and is able to make a suitable enough film for fans of the novel to more or less enjoy and pick apart, nothing about the execution of bringing this story to life screams exceptional or even, for lack of a better term in this case, divergent. I finished the first book in Roth's trilogy a few months back and have since moved on to the next one, but while I was suspicious of this new dystopian franchise with a young female heroine for the lead I was eventually able to look past the similarities between it and The Hunger Games and at least understand the merit people were finding in these stories.

Having read the books I was eagerly anticipating the release of the movie. Usually being skeptical of books to movies I was pleasantly surprised by this adaptation. The plot remained close to the book with minor changes necessary for the movie version. All in all well made and fun to watch.

I love the Divergent series and when I saw that they had it in the clearance bin where all the movies in there were $3.99 I had to get it. I would still consider this a fairly newish movie and at stores where you can buy used movies the price for this movie was $9.99

As "Divergent" is a young adult novel, I'd never read it so I was introduced to this world through the movie and I absolutely love it! The story is richly detailed and the characters are so believable. If you enjoy fantasy/science fiction and/or action/adventure, you'll enjoy this movie.

This is a fun young adult book series. The movie is darker than Hunger Games and the actors are all pretty true to the characters. If you haven't read the books you might be a little confused but it does all sort itself out. It leaves you hanging as a movie that has 2 sequels coming does.
