An amazing easy to use quad

I have owned a Phantom FC40 since release and I have loved every flight with it. I have now upgraded to the Inspire. Wow what a leap in performance, agility, and grace. This machine is beautiful and intuitive. I haven't had any issues since it has arrived. Leary to update firmware- waiting for better reviews on it. A very happy DJI customer. Flight time with stock battery is around 14 minutes with battery warning at 20%. I highly recommend the higher capacity battery or an additional standard. Flew in 68 degree weather today and flight time dropped by 3.5 minutes. Supposedly the new firmware helps with cold temperature flying.

    Best Drone For Advanced Users

This doesn't have as good of avionics as the Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro or the recently announced Inspire 2. But Inspire 1 Pro is a great, stable drone. Twice the size of the average quad copter, when it flies it transforms like something out of the future. It shoot in 4K UHD, has a HDMI out in the RC and you can get a second remote and have one pilot and one camera opperator. I have three of these and paid twice as much because they're cutting edge when they came out. If you can't afford a Inspire 2 this drone is a must for any professional. You will also want to get the X5 or X5R gimbal / camera as it allows you to use common 4/3rd lenses.

The support is good so far. The drone is pro consumer rated. It's stable in flight right out of the box. Video quality is excellent, and stable. Very easy to fly for beginners and novice flyers.

what a great product DJI has came out with. I have been flying drones for 2 years now and just over the two years the technology and advancements have been incredible the DJI inspire 1 is one of the easiest and smoothest flying drones I have flown not to mention one of the best cameras I have had on a drone. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody that is looking to get into aerial photography or just as a hobbyist for flying drones. A+++

Very reliable and very well made Drone. I've been through the cheap ones and this one is the BEST YET!! It pays to READ EVERYTHING first to become completely familiar with it before flying it. Follow the instructions to update the firmware if it calls for it. No issues with it all!! Love it!!

Honestly the best, most stable drone I've flown. Of course it's missing a few things but like any other technology product, it'll be added on "the next version". If you're willing to pay the price, you won't regret it.

Great product after I got a working battery with the unit. I went through about 4 or 5 of these units before I got a working one with a battery. Not Best Buy's fault at all but DJI..COME ON! You pay a good amount of $$ for these and you don't get working batteries. I would recommend one but be prepared for non-working units right away. You may have to go through a handful before you get a working unit.

Best option for stable flight, great camera option

Hard to believe anyone could give this package less than 5 stars. This is a "platform' that you can do anything you want with. Want a better camera? you have plenty of options out there from FLIR (yeah FLIR) to IR, to NDVI, to zoom. The batteries are pricey at $200 for the T48 but if you spent $2K for a drone another $200 is peanuts. I bought 3 T48 batteries and a real travel case immediately. The case it comes in looks good but actually is sub par and the zippers last about a month. Buy a real travel case. The drone flies in near hurricane conditions and a 5 year old could fly this thing. Learn the flight modes so you can program the flight and let the bird fly itself while you man the camera. You cannot fly and run the camera well. Also, set your RTH altitude above the highest thing around you. The RTH is your friend but the light pole between you and your drone will cost you $2,000. Let the Mavic guys go on and on about size (which is a plus) but the Inspire 1 is the Ford F150 of the dronen world and is a proven and versatile platform you can upgrade and it works like a champion. For the price of the Inspire 2 you would be better suited buying an Inspire 1 and a Mavic. While your there get a DJI Osmo and do it right.

Great machine, but bad aircraft battery out of box

After much research and almost buying a Phantom 4, I decided on the Inspire 1 V2.0. I'm sure glad that I did as it is SO much more aircraft than my old Phantom 2+. However, this experience was not without pain. Inspire was delivered by BB, but the aircraft battery would not charge at all. Called BB and they said that the only thing that they could do was to send me a complete new unit. Receive the new unit and that battery would not charge either. My research showed that DJI programmed the battery to self-discharge to a safe storage level after 10 days. However, that same battery firmware thought that there was no LiPo battery connected, and would never go into charge mode...catch 22 DJI firmware problem that supposedly has now been corrected with a system firmware update. Ordered a third battery from Amazon and that one charged normally. My conclusion is that either that new battery has the new update, or it did not set on the shelf as long as the BB unit did. After much Googling, I finally found a fix to "jump start" the BB battery, and it works OK now and I updated that battery firmware. Second issue was that I purchased a second remote for dual operator, but I could not connect it to either the master remote or the aircraft. Three hours on phone with DJI resulted in them telling me to send it all in for them to look at (I did NOT). Another 45 hours later after much research, trial and error, I got everything working perfectly, no thanks to DJI. Overall conclusions are Best Buy was great in trying to handle my problem, DJI mechanical/electronic design is first class, DJI firmware and system quality control is non-existant, DJI customer support is mostly worthless.

To complex a product for a simple review

This IS a great product. I want to start with that so my 3 stars aren't misinterpreted. But there's more to this than it seems. The Drone: The vehicle is nearly a 5 star product. I say "nearly" because a lack of documentation, fast support and consumer familiarity with UAVs greatly increase the chances a purchaser will do something to ground themselves without even realizing it. Firmware updates for example. They must be done in a specific order. First the vehicle, then the R/C, but when you take your new Inspire 1 out of the box and turn everything on the controller will tell you there are updates. If you do what it is asking you to do, you'll basically make your drone useless. (You can fix it yourself if you know how.) Being careful is arguably not enough to guarantee a good experience. It's important for you to know this going in. It really isn't a toy. The Camera: My disappointment with this product really stems from the camera. Keep in mind that the difference between this package and many of the other Inspire bundles boils down to the camera. The specs seem similar enough on paper, right? They are not. I repeat, THEY ARE NOT SIMIAR AT ALL! Does the included X3 shoot 4K? Yeah, but not 4K you actually want, so if you feel you really need 4K this is NOT the product for you. Move along to the Inspire 1 that includes the X5 camera or X5R (overkill for most). The X3 that is included in this package can be tricked into filming passable full HD at rates up to 120fps (contrary to what the specs say with the 60fps limitation). On the upside, video stabilization is impeccable. The video you do get is going to be smooth as silk. Still Shooting: Photos are 12MP but very noisy and over compressed, so your 12MP photos will be about as valuable as a 4 - 6 MP still if you're lucky, and if you're considering anything low light? Scratch that. Don't consider anything low light. LOL! All this said, you will love this product if you buy it with a clear head and solid understanding of its limitations. I'm purchasing the X5 camera and mount as the X3 can't handle what I need, but that's me. Video of the kids, vacations, or for use as a simple visual inspection device? This will do very, very well for you.

It took me a while to decide where to purchase this from and I decided on Best Buy for 2 reasons: 1: There is one right down the street from my house so any issues I would have would make it easy to get customer service. 2: I figured the volume they deal with is high so the chances of me getting a later production run was higher. I was right. It came out of the box with the latest firmware, the battery had been tested and the DJIGO app told me this when I first turned it on. It also told me to fully charge it before my first flight as I checked to make sure everything was working. Very happy with my first and second flights. You can read about the specs, see videos etc. elsewhere, I just wanted to let people know my experience in purchasing the Inspire here.

After reading all of the reviews I was worried my battery would come dead or there would be some type of issue where I had to deal with DJI customer support. " total nightmare, very bad reviews on them by the way" I'm VERY happy to say that my battery was fine, firmware update was easy, there was not one scratch or anything wrong. I purchased from Best Buy because they are the only ones that i know of that do returns on used drones, in case something is wrong. VERY PLEASED!
