Awesome drone
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drone is packed with features. It's easy to fly, and fun to use. It takes great videos and photos. It's almost dummy proof. Even a beginner can fly this with confidence. I love the waypoint features, and the 360 degree sensors make it safe to fly. Though you can crash any drone, this one isn't prone to crash. I've been in a lot of tight spots but have never crashed it. The battery life is good. The combo kit is a must. I can get well over an hour of flytime with the standard battery. A lot more with the extended battery.

Mini 4 Pro is worth the upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im very pleased with this drone, I originally bought a pro 3 but decided to return the pro 3 and get the Pro 4. This drone I feel communicates a lot better especially when going out of sight I never lost signal strength. If there were a lot of obstacles in front of me that can impede the signal strength. Pros Long battery life I personally like the case it comes with RC2 controller is really nice for extra range 360 obstacle avoidance is huge and really helps its really light and portable You will need to register it if you get the extended batteries Video looks amazing the 4k cameras on this are really nice! Cons it does struggle a little bit in high winds but over all didn't affect the outcome of the video

Incredible!! Features, Obstacle Avoidance!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mini 4 Pro is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! This was my second drone purchase, first was the DJI Avata, and even though they are different flying styles, the Mini 4 is so versatile. The amount of features, and capabilities it has is ridiculous. It has so many that I haven't gone through them all yet after a month of having it. The picture and video quality is Spectacular, and the range is insane. It is so easy to use, the obstacle avoidance is amazing for a beginner like myself. If you get the PLUS batteries, be sure to register your drone with the FAA. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Great first drone after you register it...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recommendation consideration: My largest complaint is Best Buy labels this drone as not needing registration, but the kit I purchased only includes the plus batteries, which pushes the take-off weight over 250 grams requiring FAA registration. If you already have a 107 license or don't mind registering the drone I think this is a fantastic lightweight drone and would definitely recommend it to some people but not everyone. Thankfully I had a friend who does aerial photography help me out and warned me as we unboxed the kit. The registration for recreational use is only $5 and is pretty quick to get. First Flight: This is my first drone, I have zero experience but I wanted to get a lightweight drone to scout hikes and other exploration trips with. This thing is incredibly easy to fly during the day with all the sensors and safety features. I watched a few youtube videos and and the included DJI training videos and I was up and flying in less than hour. Range/Controller: If you are out in the open with no buildings or trees you can easily get about 5 miles of signal transmission but the more objects block your signal then the shorter your range is. In my neighborhood, I get about 1.25 miles in any direction. With the included batteries its pretty easy to get a good elevation and just scan the area in the direction you want. The controller seems to have great image playback and resolution for what I need. Camera: Because I use the drone to scout areas I haven't played around much with the photography or video settings. But from what I have tried it takes amazing pictures and videos you'll have to figure out how in-depth you want to get with the setting to take full advantage of all the features but I definitely have room to grow into this area. Charger: One of the things I love about this setup is the charger. The dock connects via USBC so I can charge it in the car, or with a battery bank connected to a solar panel making it super convenient for longer backpacking trips. The batteries do take a while to charge, but thankfully they top off the highest-charged one first so you get a full battery first before it moves to the next highest-charged one. This is probably not the most efficient charging strategy but I definitely see the value. Note: The drone and the remote feel like they get pretty warm when flying I don't know if that is just because of the weather I'm flying in currently or because of a lack of active cooling (I've seen other people mod their drones with extra fans whenever it's on but not flying to keep it cool). The other included accessories: The included bag is alright, I personally 3d printed a hard case so I can toss the drone in a backpack and not worry. I haven't had to change any of the propellers so no comments on the replacements or tools included for that.

Over the top awesome
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start with some ‘drone’ legality notes about this DJI mini 4 pro in the US. Now I’m not a lawyer in form, but I can read the FAA website, and I’ve been flying model aircraft, helicopters and quadcopters for almost 40 years. Basically the FAA says any drone under 250grams does not need to be registered, and any drone that doesn’t need to be registered doesn’t need remote ID. First, the advertisements and specs for this DJI mini 4 pro fly more plus combo can be misleading. In numerous places the specs on this combo kit state ‘under 249g, no registration required’. With the plus batteries included in this combo kit, the weight IS over 249g. My scale shows 290g. The non plus batteries put the flight weight at 249g. Second, the DJI mini 4 pro uses intelligent batteries, the drone and the app know the serial number of the battery, what type it is, how many charges it’s had etc. If this mini 4 pro is flown with a standard (non plus) battery, it ends up at less that 250g and no registration or remote ID is required per the FAA, but DJI chose to leave the remote ID broadcasting turned ON in this case. Why? You probably bought a drone under 250g to avoid jumping through the FAA hoops, but yet DJI decided to force you into broadcasting your (and your drones) location to anyone with a free app that wants to come beat you up and steal your drone. Having said all that… I love technology, and I’m amazed at how much technology DJI can cram into a small drone like this. My first aerial photo platform was a nitro powered RC plane with a disposable film camera strapped to the bottom and a servo pushing the shutter button. I could take one photo, and then have to land to advance the film, take back off to take the next picture. THEN have to wait a week or more to get the film developed. To say we’ve come a long way from that is quite an understatement. Nice safe packaging on this Mini4Pro (M4P), foam holding the gimbal, protective/instruction stickers everywhere, all is pretty self explanatory getting it out of the box and ready for setup. Set aside at least 30-60 minutes from out of box to ready to fly (not including battery charging). You’ll need to charge the batteries, power up the remote and drone, create an account on DJI, and link and authorize everything along with firmware updates. Nothing hard about it, just step through what the directions tell you to do. You will need to provide your own USB C PD charger. My test show the charging hub will draw up to about 35watts, so get a charger that supplies at least 35 for the fastest charging possible. You can connect the RC2 remote to the hub, and then the hub to the charger. This will charge the batteries sequentially with the ‘fullest’ first, and then charge the RC2 when all batteries are full. Or if you want to charge everything as fast as possible, get a 3 output charger. One output to the hub, one output to the RC2 and one output to the M4P (with battery installed). First flight, and all subsequent flights so far have been uneventful. The M4P pretty much flies itself, which is good, because it will allow you to focus on the photo/video and not the flying. However, there is still a lot to learn. Lots of settings and features to learn if you want to exploit the M4P to it’s fullest. But also lots of ‘automatic’ options (like the quick shots) if you want quick and simple. I’d recommend charging up all the batteries, go find an open field, fly the M4P and play with all the options so on that day with the perfect sunset, you know exactly what and where the settings are to capture the shot the way you want. This includes learning what all the icons on your screen mean, and under which menus you find your various settings and options. The low light capability of this camera is amazing (just dont forget that in low light the obstacle avoidance is turned off). RC control and video link range is great, more than you should need and more than you can legally use. Some odd and ends notes. When downloading offline maps, I wish you were able to grab a larger area at a time, and when you are looking at the map, it would highlight areas that were downloaded. As it seems now I’m going to end up with a patchwork of overlaps and missing areas of downloaded maps. I don't like the included propeller holder. Unless it loosens up over time, the pin into the hole is tight, and when you push on it, you are pushing directly on an arm. Worries me that it will stress the arm and break it. Pretty easy fix though, just cut the top off a sock or grab a velcro strap or rubber band and use that instead if you like. The included case is ok, not great. It will hold what comes with the flymore package and not much more other than the USB charger you supply. I think the divider that goes between the RC2 and the charging hub should have gone all the way to the side of the case. As it is there's a chance the charge hub can rub on the RC2 and scratch the RC2 and/or screen. Otherwise it's perfectly functional and gets the job done. The best way I’ve found to get photos/video from the M4P to your phone is to install the LightCut app on your phone and then use the quick connect feature to download them directly from the M4P to your phone. It would be nice if DJI opened up the RC2 android system and allowed us to install social media and cloud storage apps so we could share photos right from the RC2. Photos attached are some of my first shots, straight from the drone with no editing. Still learning all the settings and capabilities of the Mini 4 Pro. Fortunately we had some aurora during my first week of ownership and I was able to capture some photo and hyperlapse video. In conclusion let's be perfectly honest here, I hate drones. They are boring to fly because they fly themselves.. But… thats not why I got this one. I got it as an updated aerial photo/video platform from what I was using, and for that purpose, this thing is absolutely mind blowing awesome in it’s capabilities. I’ve been flying almost daily since I got it and look forward to adding to my portfolio of photos hanging on my wall.

Exceptional Stability and Flight Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.recently purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. As an avid drone enthusiast, I've flown various models, but the Mini 4 Pro stands out for several reasons. Intuitive Controls and Ease of Use: For beginners and experienced pilots alike, the Mini 4 Pro offers an exceptionally user-friendly experience. The controls are intuitive and responsive, making it a breeze to navigate even for someone new to drone flying. The setup process is straightforward, and the drone connects seamlessly with the controller and app. Exceptional Stability and Flight Performance: The stability of the Mini 4 Pro in flight is remarkable. I've flown it in various conditions, including moderately windy environments, and it has performed flawlessly. The drone holds its position steadily, ensuring that the footage captured is smooth and free from unwanted shakes or jitters. Superior Image Quality: The camera quality is a significant leap forward. The 4K video at 60 frames per second is crisp and clear, with vibrant colors and excellent detail. The HDR capabilities bring out a great dynamic range in the footage, making my aerial shots look professional and cinematic. Advanced Features and Flight Modes: The Mini 4 Pro comes packed with features that are both fun and functional. The omnidirectional obstacle sensing is a game-changer, providing peace of mind when flying in trickier environments. The intelligent flight modes, including follow-me and pre-programmed flight paths, add a level of creativity and automation to the flying experience. Compact and Portable: One of the best aspects of the Mini 4 Pro is its compact size. It's incredibly lightweight and folds down to a very portable size, making it perfect for travel and adventure. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive. With up to 34 minutes of flight time, I have ample opportunity to explore and capture stunning views without worrying about running out of power.

Everything You Need in a Recreational Drone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was an early adopter of the original Mavic Mini in 2019. At the time, having just sold my Phantom 3, I was completely floored with how much DJI was able to do with a drone weighing less than 250g (assuming no modifications). I absolutely loved that drone and took it with me almost every time I traveled. Fast forward three generations, and the Mavic Mini 4 Pro is an even more capable sub 250g (with regular intelligent flight battery installed) drone. It checks every box for the things I wished for when I had my original Mavic Mini, making it the current best all around recreational UAV, in my opinion. So what did I have on my wish list back then that the Mavic Mini 4 Pro delivers on? The first thing was flight distance. The Mavic Mini had a maximum flight distance of about 2.5 miles and that was a bit optimistic. I always fly within VLOS, but noticed that under bridges or near trees the video feed to the controller/ my phone would cut out. Luckily RTH would kick in and I would easily regain control of the drone once the video feed was restored. With the RC2 controller and O4 video transmission system, this issue is a thing of the past. The Mavic Mini 4 Pro boasts a flight distance of up to 20 km (~12.4 miles). I am able to fly from inside my home in a medium to strong interference suburban landscape with no control or video transmission issues. Color me impressed. Speaking of the RC2 controller, it’s a must have. One thing that deterred me from pulling out my Mavic Mini at times was the need to attach my phone to the controller, launch the app, and wait for it to connect before flying. The RC2’s built-in screen makes it so convenient to whip the drone out for a quick photo or video anywhere. The next item on my wishlist was intelligent flight modes. If you’ve ever tried, you know it is difficult to get stable, quality video while flying manually, especially if you are the subject and riding a bike, driving, etc. The Mavic Mini 4 has features such as ActiveTrack 360, waypoints, night mode, and cruise control that allow you to get super smooth video, most notably when you are simultaneously the pilot and subject. This leads perfectly into the next and final wish list item, that being obstacle avoidance. On multiple occasions with my Mavic Mini, I did crash due to an inability to juggle both piloting the drone and focusing on getting a good photo or video. I also let a friend try flying it and he slammed into his dad’s car, putting a good dent in it. Luckily, the Mavic Mini got right back up and kept going like nothing had happened. Resilience after crashing is definitely something these drones have going for them. The 360 degree obstacle avoidance from the Mavic Mini 4 Pro’s omnidirectional binocular vision system provides a safety blanket to prevent crashes, property damage, or injury. It makes the intelligent flight modes more practical as the drone will automatically be looking out for obstacles and either stop or maneuver around them based on your preference. Of course, there are limitations to this system as it is disabled in sport mode, at night, and struggles with smaller objects like tree branches. With the Mavic Mini 4 Pro’s mix of portability and features, it does everything that I want and need from a recreational drone. At this price point, I think it’s an excellent value as it includes features only previously seen on higher end UAVs. Of course, if you’re looking for the absolute best in photo or video quality, you’ll probably want to consider other DJI drones instead. One final thing to note if you’re purchasing this bundle. The intelligent flight plus batteries do bring the takeoff weight of the Mavic Mini 4 Pro above 250g. This does mean that you need to register your drone with the FAA and pass The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). This only costs $5 (at the time of this review) for a three year registration and takes a total of about 30 minutes of your time, but it is important in the event you do ever get questioned while flying.

Great Drone Combo for A Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent drone, an excellent combo. I have been flying drones for 8 years and working as a certified drone pilot for 6 years. I am also an instructor that teaches a professional remote pilot class for the Sonoran Desert Institute. I have 7 DJI drones. This is by far one of the best drones you can get for this price. Vertical shooting, zoom capabilities, 360 obstacle avoidance, gorgeous night shooting and more. This drone is great for so many different uses, whether you are a seasoned pilot or just getting started. Check out some of the photos I captured below. ||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the drone! Its small, fast and has great video quality! The range on this is insane the price is a bit high but worth every oenny comparing with other drones i have purchased. A good suggestion is to fly it on really open spaces until you get used to the speed its much faster than others! Found replacement blades and a great carry bag on amazon for it too. Recomend buying the oackage with the extra batteries and charging station for extended use.

Amazing drone!!!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best drone in its class I feel like. Very easy to use and the captures are amazing. The sensors that detect objects and great for beginners. Now they dont see everything and you still have to be careful but totally worth the money. Also highly recommend the big yearly membership in case of accidents. Its an easy exchange at customer service for a new one if you break it. $180 a year seems like a lot but not when you can have one simple mistake and crash it and it breaks. Very expensive to replace. Worth the money especially for any beginners starting out.

Love this Mini Drone!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The DJI Mini 4 Pro is an amazing little drone! I have taken a few opportunities to fly it and have taken some great shots, plus the kids are amazed by it. I have used the Mini 2 Drone in the past but am much more of a fan of the 4 since the remote control has a screen built in, a few less things to carry since the older models used your phone as the screen for the drone. This pack is a great buy, it comes with the drone, remote control, 3 batteries, battery charger, cables and some extra propeller blades all within a sleek carrying case. The battery charging dock uses USB C and has a USB A out to charge your RC (which also used USB C). The simple shots were amazing, really nice without any touch ups, which are what I added. I am still a novice with drones, however the hotel I work with has a marketing team that uses a DJI Drone for in house videos and small advertisements and they were excited to get the chance to use it as they are fans of DJI. They had a couple test flights around to play with it but are planning a date to schedule a flight to record some videos for the associate holiday party, I am expecting great things from it as this is an updated version of one we use. Overall DJI is a favorite of the property, they will use the mini I got for some projects when the gentleman isn't there to bring his Mavic Pro, but like any tech, if they're seeing some nice results from the updated tech it could get them to look at getting the property a Mini 4 that the marketing team can keep on hand. Much love for DJI and I am looking forward to seeing the result of their filming and enjoying the time I have got to play with it so far. Planning to get some amazing shots over the holidays with it myself!

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the DJI Mini 4 Drone and found it to be a great addition to my tech collection. The compact and lightweight design makes it extremely portable, while the 4K camera delivers stunningly clear and vibrant images and videos. The drone is user-friendly, with intuitive controls and a responsive DJI Fly app, making it perfect for beginners. Its extended battery life allows for up to 34 minutes of flight time, which is impressive. The obstacle detection sensors and return-to-home function add an extra layer of safety. However, I did notice that the signal range can weaken in urban areas, and the DJI Fly app occasionally lagged on my older smartphone model. Overall, it's a solid choice for both novice and experienced drone enthusiasts.

Great compact drone.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great compact drone. I bought this to have a smaller one where I can’t take my phantom 4 pro. Now that being said, it cannot handle the winds that the phantom can but the drone performs flawless. Pictures are better than my phantom but it is a newer drone. I bought a landing gear for it to protect it during take offs and landings. I have been flying DJI drones for almost a decade and it’s everything I expected in a DJI drone. I would buy a hard case for it (did for mine) if you spend that much on a drone you should protect it.

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drone is absolutely amazing, im in love with it! The range it has is absolutely unbelievable and the quality it shoots is so amazing. If you’re into seeing things from a Birds Eye view this is definitely the purchase for you. The size makes it perfect to carry around, I can fit it right in my pocket. For being so small it can also handle a lot of wind resistance, I’ve had it in 25 mph winds before, I’ve seen videos where people have them in 35+ mph winds. It’s small but it sure is mighty, the price is worthy every bit of it, id even say they are lowballing selling something this good.
