The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is lighter and cheaper than its predecessor, and despite that it's a way better smartphone camera stabilization gimbal than any other we've tested. It uses AI to track subjects and, with a new portrait mode, it’s even ready for the Instagram Stories and Snapchat generation.

This is a great for making videos with your phone. It works just fine with my iPhone 8Plus. It’s compatible with my favorite video app, FilmicPro (except face tracking). The DJI GO app does have the face tracking feature, which sets the OSMO 2 to follow someone’s face automatically. I love it.

The gimbal itself helps stabilize and optimize your camera's phone. The frame rate is high quality. Makes small productions or videos super fluid. Recommended for short film, vlogs, or whatever else you want. the world you shoot is all about perspective, pick a good one.

I love this item because: features, price and ease. I rate it 3 star because it couldn't handle my Samsung 8 plus. With a few adjustments this gimbal would be flawless.

A little bit of a pain to set up but once I figured out how to balance it from YouTube videos it does it’s job real well. I would recommend it for videographers that want a light weight camera holder!!

Works well - I originally purchased a Zhiyun and this is much better. The software was crap for the Zhiyun....that along DJI blows it out of the water. Device is very solid - using it with my iPhone X.

I use this with a Google Pixel 2 XL, and it works great. The bluetooth connection is reliable, and the gimbal provides excellent stability. I wish it had some more external controls that didn't require touching the phone, but that's a small quibble. I've used it for motion lapses, time lapses, and object tracking, and all work very well via the DJI app. Additionally, if you use Filmic Pro, this integrates nicely, and allows control of zoom and focus via the controls on the gimbal (though Filmic pro doesn't include object tracking, etc).

I love to go hiking in the backcountry. I purchased the Osmo for one of our trips so I could capture some smooth video of us hiking. We hike to some beautiful places and I really wanted to have great memories capture to share with friends and family. Unfortunately, whether it was from the air travel or bouncing around in my backpack, it didn't work well. The gyros constant jitter and bounce and I ended up only able to use it as a spare battery to charge devices. I did do some trial runs with it beforehand and it worked well, but it's not good for potentially rugged needs. City use it should work fine.

Im just getting into amateur video with my new iPhone XS Max and I’ve been using the this new gimbal to keep stable video. It really takes your videos to the next level. The price is also acceptable when you look at the first gimbal coming in at a whopping $300

Used the gimnal to video some shows on my trip. It was a crwoded place with people shoving and pushing to squeeze by. The video of the show looked as is I was stable the entire time. The slight movements are unnoticable in the footage taken. Amazing tool.

Since buying this gimbal it’s made my videos look peferssional and amazing. Because of my IPhone X weight plus the moment Lena I had to get a counter weight by moment. But other than that this is the best gimbal out there for perfect videos

This product is absolutely amazing. DJI has done a phenomenal job in creating a gimbal for mobile devices that is bae none! I love This gimbal. Buttery-smooth footage, great battery life, even enough to charge my iPhone! Not to mention the great price!!

I have to recommend this from the get go. Great features and capabilities. Used it for my 7 day trip to Peru, including Machu Picchu. It's very steady and not flimsy. It's made from durable materials and have a lot of features for a small price.

This is a great addition for anybody looking to get better quality (smooth) video from their smart phone. I also own the Vilta-M and while the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 does not support infinity roll like the Vilta, I find the movement of the DJI to be smoother and their is no comparison of the phone app. The DJI app provides all of the features you need and they actually work. The target tracking is a great feature as well. Just lock the target on a person or thing, and the gimbal will automatically move to follow the subject around. It also produces great seamless panorama images and time lapse videos. The only negative I have found so far, is that the zoom slider is not as smooth as I would like when using the gimbal buttons, but I don't typically use zoom as phone quality zoom is not that great to begin with.

I tried this gimbal for a week and it was simple, very easy to use and operate. I loved the object tracking feature. But I realized I needed something different where I did not have to squint my eyes under the sun to locate and press the appropriate icons in the camera app to take a camera shot or any of video hyper lapses. At times I was flying blind. In other words I would have preferred more functions in the gimbal handle itself than touching the camera screen. For this reason I am docking one star. Also some of the parts in the gimbal looked flimsy (usb port plastic lid) and even the joystick control. I returned it and got a smooth 4.

In my opinion, best bang for the buck gimbal for smart phone users. The DJI App always provides additional features to use with the gimbal such as hyperlapse and follow capture mode. Easy to use and set up!

The Osmo Mobile 2 is very good . It offers as much as the previous one did, and more. It also has much-needed features as the other more expensive brands out there. I am very glad I upgraded to the Mobile 2. It was worth every penny!

DJI Osmo Mobile is an affordable choice for stabilized mobile video. Though it has limitations it is a feature rich product that is great for beginners and intermediate users.

Bought this for my mom for Christmas. She loves it! The stabilization, app camera quality, to ease of use. As a matter of fact, my mom's younger sister (my aunt) bought it two weeks later when she saw my mom using it.
