I had this drone for 3 weeks, multiple flights and do recommend.
It came with the latest firmware so no updates were required before flying.
It did not come with a micro SD card, a little disappointing, so I purchased a 64gb uh1 (HD) card.
I formatted the card on my LG OLED 4K TV, required if you want to play the videos on this TV. It is sort of a catch 22 because it will play on the TV but my apple laptop does not recognize the file type and won't open to play the video. If you want to play on your home laptop, etc. format using the DJI app.
I use Litchi for controlling the drone when I want to fly waypoints, you can pre-select your route. If you use the DJI app you have to fly the route and record, seems like a waste of time to me.
The DJI ground station app should also work but I didn't test.
There is some video latency, when flying, using an ipad but that could just be caused by the area I live (it does not show on recorded video). The video quality when playing back off the card, to me, seems excellent. I do not shoot video as anything other than a hobbyist so those with a higher level of video knowledge would be a better reviewer as far as that.
I haven't had any issues to date and recommend the P3SE. Right now it is $100 more than the P3S so it's worth the price. If the P3S drops to $350 or so it will be a tough choice.
To me it is a beginners drone and serves this purpose well. That said you still need to read and understand the manual (beginner mode, altitude and distance limits, etc)

Very disappointed with "4k" video. Have had several malfunctions resulting in crashes. Regret buying this model.
