Customers have good things to say about the Ronin-S Essentials Kit's ease of use, intuitive operation, and impressive stabilization capabilities, resulting in smooth footage. Many appreciate its compatibility with various cameras and its long battery life. However, some users find the kit somewhat heavy and challenging to balance, particularly with heavier camera setups.

Im using it with a Sony a7RIV with canon 17-40 it’s a pretty light set up but with the weight of the gimbal it’s just too heavy for me. If you are using mirrorless and weight is a problem I would recommend getting the ronin sc it’s a lighter version. It’s a pain to balance the gimbal.

The Ronin s by far surpassed my expectations in turns of durability, ease of use and in weight lol. Yes there's a learning curve but what you get in terms of footage stability is amazing. Check out my work for your self!! @sunset_paths or on youtube as Sunset Paths

Works as advertised. No issues, I highly recommend if you are shopping for a gimble. Heavier than expected and senstitive when mounting. Takes a good twenty minutes to mount the camera and adjust all of the settings.

An excellent tool that will expand your creative possibilities. I use it almost daily. Worth the investment. Although it can be a bit heavy at times. This is expected considering its amazing build quality.

I've balanced both a A7RII, and a BMPCC6k on this gimbal with minimal issue. The BMPCC6k will need to be offset, and a weight added.
One thing that would improve the kit would be include extra handles for more points of contact, and better control.

This is the first gimbal I have ever purchased. I was setup and ready to go within 10 mins. Make sure you bend your knees when you are out shooting video otherwise you will get a bit of shake in the video.

This has helped me take my video quality from great to fabulous. SO easy to use. I had to add my own monitor mount, but overall a great product. would recommend 10 of 10.

Works awesome. Balances my 5D mk4 without the grip fine. Learn to adjust the settings and be very careful about balancing the unit and you will be fine.

Huge Learning Curve

I bought this to pair up with one of my DSLRs and although I knew it wasn't 100% compatible, I didn't realize how hard it would be to use it with a DSLR that it wasn't compatible with. First off, it has a huge learning curve when balancing your camera. And you have to balance it every time unless you are just going to leave the camera mounted and carry it around like that. If you decide you want to pack it up, you have to rebalance it when you pull it out of the case. If you're going to get this gimbal, make sure you have a camera that's 100% compatible or you will be sad.

This thing rocks, but keeps your camera steady. Works with Fs5 and mirrorless cameras. Can't use big lenses though.
