I collect the Doctor Who Christmas specials. The Husbands of River Song had that Christmas feel in the beginning but took a different twist which gave some background to the Doctor Who series along with the bonus features. I think Matt Smith was the best Doctor. I don’t know why they changed the character so quickly. Get a copy for yourself and check out some of the other Sci-fi classics on the Best Buy website. You will be surprised to find out what Best Buy has and some new titles to spark your interest.

First, I am a Doctor Who fan. And, I try to acquire every single DVD. So, I simply had to add this to my collection. Also, I don't know how you feel about the latest Doctor (Scottish actor Peter Capaldi). However, I do feel this episode is well worth having. This episode really adds to the character development of both the twelfth Doctor, and River Song. And, the simple adventure, and feel-good silliness, of this episode is right at home in a DW Christmas episode.

I know not a lot of people are fans of Capaldi but he did a great job in this and Alex Kingston, as always, steals the episode as River Song. She is one of my all-time favorite characters in this series and anytime they bring her back is something I enjoy. The secondary characters were great additions and helped make this one of the top Doctor Who specials in my opinion. I highly recommend this to any fan of the Doctor.

It's great to see an entertaining wrap-up to the love story of River Song and The Doctor, one that gives viewers another perspective of The Doctor's (6 season?) long relationship with a woman who is definitely up to the challenge and the best match the series ever found for him, no matter how much you like Rose Tyler. If you're a fan of River Song, this is a must-see.

River Song is back in the 2015 Christmas special. The interaction between the 12th Doctor and River is great. All the sassy interaction is there, as well as a tear-jerker moment. I don't want to give away any spoilers, Sweetie, but I will say it's a fun story that actually fills in a lot of holes in the River Song saga.

dr who fan so oc loved the video. hope not the last we see of river. do miss matt smith, but thought story was good, interesting, river very much river. still deciding whether I like this dr, think will. good to see some of the romance between dr & river, the dr does care about her, how could she not think he does?

River Song returns to the world of Doctor Who for another fun-filled Christmas Special, detailing the events that occurred just before her initial introduction in the episode Silence in the Library. Fun-filled with lots of action and humor, this episode does not disappoint!

Since River Song is my all-time favourite Companion (well,of course, not really) this has to be one of my all-time favourite Doctor Who episodes and definitely my favourite Christmas Special! Alex Kingston is perfect and I left her & the Doctor with a warmer, fuzzier feeling for Peter Capaldi as well.

I have always been a big fan of the character River Song, whenever she showed up in the series you knew you were in for a special episode. This holiday special is no different. Probably my second favorite of all the holiday specials in the Who Series, my favorite being A Christmas Carol.

The Doctor Who Christmas Specials have been an annual tradition since the series return in 2005. The Husbands of River Song is the 11th Christmas Special, after last years weak outing (IMHO) this one was brilliant. The Doctor comes across River Song on another of her schemes and is pleasantly surprised when she doesn't recognize him. He gets to see River in action when he isn't around and there's some great Peter Capaldi/Alex Kingston interaction.

Missd this in the theaters on Christmas day, don't know if they showed it on BBCAmerica, was just waiting for it to be released on disc. Spoilers Sweetie, I'm not gonna ruin it for you, but if you like Doctor Who, and haven't seen this, watch it

Always a pleasure to watch Alex Kingston's River Song in Action. Great fun episode to end what was a very dark 9th series. Great chemistry between Ms. Kingston and Peter Capaldi's Doctor. Hope they can find a way to to more with these two.

If this was going to be Steven Moffet's last episode, then it's the perfect way to go. The humor, the twists and the circle is complete. Watch this then put on "Silence in the library" & "Forest of the dead". I did.

This was the best christmas episode! I haven't really been feeling Capaldi as the Doctor until this aired. It was beautiful and I cried so much, mostly because I love the dynamic between the Doctor and River.

It was fun seeing River Song back, even know the whole special kept reminding us she going to die sometime in the near future. Knowing that made the whole thing more depressing but they threw in a kinda happy ending. It was a ok watch, I don't mind Doctor who Christmas specials but they're not my favorite doctor who material.

Alex Kingston returns for this 2015 special that won't disappoint fans with a wonderful hilarious episode and its also full of bonus materials regarding the mysterious Dr. River Song.

Why'd I purchase this DVD? Spoilers? No worries - not here. There's more to discover regarding the tale of River Song and how her life is entwined with the Doctor. Seasons 1 - 8 are bound to be classics in their own right. Of course the Holiday specials are just great fun to bring out during the actual holidays.

Doctor Who and Christmas time, add River Song and a good time is had by all. Peter Capaldi as The Doctor and Alex Kingston as River Song are perfect together.

After last season when the 12th Doctor was introduced to a boring season they totally fixed things with his second season, and ended it with a bang by bringing back River Song.

As a fan of Doctor Who it is great to know that I can come into Best Buy and be able to pick up copies of shows for my collection. Thanks for having them available.
