This set of DVD's covers the recent Dr. Who revival's handling of the Classic Who villains The Cybermen. The Cybermen were a 60's creation that made good use of minimal makeup & effects to make a reliably scary set of characters. Like the later Borg in Star Trek or the many Zombie stories the Cybermen take regular people and turn them into virtually unkillable creatures. These disks also include a set of episodes from the early 80's portion of the classic Dr. Who run. This allows you to see how much the effects have changed over the years and how much they haven't changed.

Unless you've watched a number of episodes of Doctor Who, or are otherwise familiar with the show, you'll be left scratching your head. The Cybermen are the second most famous antagonists in the series (or the third, depending on how you rank the Daleks and the Master). They were converting meat into metal before the original Enterprise hit television, and their feud with the Doctor stretches over centuries. The set has the last three Doctors in their confrontations with the Cybermen, and the Earthshock episode from the classic show. The Matt Smith episodes threw me a bit, because I'm not familiar with that incarnation of the Doctor (and now I must catch up), and there's a twist in the Peter Capaldi episode that will surprise (and later satisfy) long-time fans.

I have been a Doctor Who fan for over 30 years. The Cybermen are one of the Doctor's fiercest foes. This DVD brings you their shared history, showing how both the Doctor and the Cybermen have evolved based on each of their previous encounters. Great for any Doctor Who fan! Original episodes and a new "Tour Through History" of the original Cybermen from their creation to current form. I Love It and so does my young daughter!

A collection of Dr. Who Stories featuring one of the Doctor's most infamous villains the Cybermen in episodes going back from the '60s to now. The bonus material is good for newbies who will discover the Cybermen's physical evolution without having to seek out more. I suspect a Dalek collection will be coming soon.

Cybermen are pretty fascinating villains, and this collection really captures some fantastic episodes from several Doctors. The extras--hosted by the actor who plays Strax and the voice of the Daleks/Cybermen--are great, especially the evolution of the Cybermen. Seeing the old costumes is a treat!

For all Doctor Who fans, this is the DVD to watch all cyberman episode. If you're new to the series you get a clear look at the origins of the cyberman. If you're a long time fan like me it's a great way to watch episode you may not have seen since childhood.

Complete your collection of Doctor Who Villains! This DVD is a great addition to any library because it contains the best of the new and old Doctor Who series versus the Cybermen.

Who doesnt love dr who...Cybermen are one of his greaatest villians and this gives you a rare chance to see 4 different doctors in action

It's great they have a disc on the history of the Cybermen. Plus, getting to watch Earthshock as well was an added bonus.

Personally love anything that has to do with Doctor Who. The extras are great and fun to see a specific set of episodes

Redundant for those who already have all the DW new series, but handy to have all the Cybermen episodes in one place, if you happy to like Cybermen.

Great collection of stories. Great cybermen episodes and a great cybermen feature. If you're a Whovian and a collector, get this. It's a nice addition to your collection
