Great to see David Tenant as Doctor again!

I do not get BBC America, so the only way I can keep up with recent Dr. Who episodes is when the DVDs come out. I had given up on possibly seeing this 50th Anniversary show with David Tenant (who is my favorite of the current series). I am very pleased that your store offers these Dr. Who DVDs for sale; I will continue to look for not only current episodes but also for available episodes of the older series as well. The interaction between the 2 doctors is interesting with each of them trying to outdo the other while the older Dr. is trying to help them understand what they can do rather than commit genocide. It was sad seeing what his previous decision had done to him and the 2 younger versions of himself finally understanding themselves better as they confronted how they had been affected by what he had done. This companion seemed to be the "glue" that bound them all together and helped them to accomplish what needed to be done. I also liked the special features which were available on this DVD.

As far as the 3D+ Bluray+DVD combo pack was a good price when I picked it up ($10) around the holiday season. The movie is a good adventure of The Doctor(s). It's a nice way of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the "Doctor Who" franchise. The package contains: Slip cover The 1st disc is a 3D bluray & bluray combo. The 2nd disc is the dvd. There is nothing else inside, no 50th Anniversary trading cards like previously released. no inside slip, & no digital code for movie. My bluray case was broken when I received it. I hadn't noticed because of the slip cover and until I took off the plastic. Don't know if I can return this Bluray, but the weird thing is the broken pieces of the bluray case are no where to be found . I'm not sure if this was repackaged and put back on the shelf? I checked both discs and they work fine. The bluray case won't close though without the slip cover.

Phenomenal Blu-ray fascinating to see how Matt Smith and David Tennant interacted. Both fine actors, they are also very different. Tennant is edgy and mercurial, likely to turn on a pin. Smith is gentler, with a boyish eccentricity and other-worldly strangeness. They sparred terrifically with a fair amount of trademark humour. Smith’s Doctor teased Tennant’s about his “sand shoes” and his weight. “Ooh. That is proper skinny. Hello matchstick man!” And yet they were both skilled enough to convince the viewer that they were one and the same person, both sharing a compassion, an acute intelligence and a formidable nose for danger.

Does the impossible and lives up to expectations

The 50th anniversary Doctor Who episode had SO much to live up to and accomplishes the impossible. To top what the story had to live up to, they shot it in 3D, which lives up to the moment. Well worth watching from a story perspective. From a technical perspective, the 3D surpasses all expectations for a TV show. The 3D is not just a gimmick but is an INTEGRAL part of the story, which almost never happens. The one critique is that this needed to be loaded up with extras: commentaries, trailers, deleted scenes. But you get only one deleted scene and the main trailer. No commentaries and I would like to have seen the prelude shown exclusively in theaters as an easter egg. But still well worth the price.

This episode was great. It filled in the past and I really like seeing the doctor's home planet. When this new doctor who came back we never knew exactly how the time war ended and how the doctor was involved - so this fills in all the gaps....while leaving some new mysteries to discover. I never really liked Rose but it did fit in the story once I realized the whole "bad wolf" connection.

While it would have been nice to have all the surviving Doctors in this story (Outside of archival footage), the story was great honoring 5 Decades of this British series. It's nice to have David Tennant and Matt Smith together, as well as John Hurt as the never-before revealed War Doctor (Also we have a great cameo from one of the earlier Doctors near the end). The only thing missing from this disc was a commentary track.

The sad part about Doctor Who is knowing that whenever a new Doctor is introduced the clock on his time on the show has started ticking. The Day Of The Doctor is a sad ending for the 2nd greatest Doctor in the long history of the series. Fortunately however it's also a great ending what with the returns of the Tenth and greatest Doctor, Rose Tyler and the introduction of the War Doctor.

2013 was a big year for Doctor Who and it culminated in one of the biggest episodes ever, The Day Of The Doctor! The Blu-Ray contains the 3D version as well as a DVD copy as well. Also, there was a pack of trading cards. The story is well paced and more importantly entertaining. Having David Tennant and Matt Smith on screen together was fantastic! I would have liked for some more Special Features, but the high quality of the episode makes up for it.

This is a fantastic tribute to all the Doctor Who has been for the past 50 years. The story is a lot of fun and the 3D is really nice. The best part is that includes the short "The Night of the Doctor" where Paul McGann finally gets his proper regeneration.

I've watched this four times, and I'm still finding Easter Eggs from the last 50 years of Doctor Who. The 3D was excellently done, and the camerawork looks great in 2D as well. Too bad Eccleston didn't appear, but all of the other Doctors were excellent.

Overall this is a fantastic special. Matt Smith and David Tenant are a terrific team. Neither one hogs the story or spotlight. A lot of action, comedy and fan service for those Who-vians. Great special features as well. I highly recommend this.

It was nice to see the two doctors who have had the most to do with revitalizing the series working together. Nice to see their interaction very comical very entertaining. Nice performances by all involved including John Hurt. Wanted to watch it again as soon as I finished watching it the first time.

Great story that unites three Doctors, including one viewers didn't know about. Very nostalgic for longtime fans, while also reinventing the show's established mythology in surprising ways. Lots of good extras discussing the history of Doctor Who and the behind the scenes of this special.

The biggest surprise was at the end. There was a fourth Doctor, who was the fourth doctor. The action and the humor are well balanced. A must have for Doctor Who fans. If you are new to Who, then you should enjoy it. If you have never seen Doctor Who don't buy it, because it will make no sense.

If your a fan of Dr. Who then this would be a good purchase. I was very interested in this movie because it is a 3D and I collect as many 3D movies as possible. The movie was just a little slow for my taste but I will rewatch it again to catch parts that I might have missed. I will always watch any Dr. Who show that has Billie Piper in it so extra points for having her back. Overall I would recommend it as a good 3D evening movie.

This is one of the best episodes of Doctor Who. With more time travel, mystery and fezzes, this episode delivers! On top of all of that, you get 3 doctors squaring off against the Daleks. What more could you ask for?!?

This is the 50th anniversary special for Dr Who. I love the way it brings back past Doctors into the mix as well as rewrites certain things we think we know abou the Dr Who universe. I'd say more, but ya know, spoilers!

Fascinating direction taken in the Doctor's story, but elements of parts just don't ring true (marriage of the Queen). Love the return of Billy Piper who does an amazing job. All the doctors do a great job and you forget what else you know about these actors as they perform. The Blue Ray performs as it should and has no issues. Added content is okay, but nothing earthshaking for a long term fan.
