I owned the previous Dot View M8 case, it had a solid back. This case has a clear back to show the metal phone, which is nice. I have only had the case for 2 weeks, the clear back cover has so many scratches and I take good care of my phones. Otherwise, the interactive front DOT screen is great for notifications and quick call receiving without opening the cover. Just not a fan of the clear back due to showing scratches.

Dot View is a cool concept and works good, the case itself protected the phone great. The Dot View cover lasted about 30 days before breaking off, the rubber hinge was stiff and hard to use at first.

I paid full price for this case, into the third month the cover began to separate from the base. I could not get a replacement case. $50 Bucks down the drain. Huge waste of money.

The case has these dots that can be customized with various designs. It does have a retro look to it. The material seems to collect dust and lint easily in the little holes. It leaves a dusty print on my phone's screen but it's not that big of a deal as it can be wiped away. The back is clear and shows off the nice metal back of the phone.

The double tap to turn on screen feature stopped working after HTC pushed its last OTA update. The only feature that works is the play/pause and notifications.

This case is very unique. It's cool to do some things without opening the case everytime. Like picking up phonecalls. Putting it on speaker. Music control on the case. The cons is that the case doesn't wrap around the phone when it's open. And if there is a lot of sunlight it's hard to see the dots. Other than it keeps the phone and screen well protected. Took a bit to get use to.

After a few months case begins to tear on the seam.

This thing is legit. Its pretty cool there are a lot of things you can download or make your own pictures. It also protects the phone which is great.

Love the touch sensitivity on the outside! It's like accessing my phone without opening it!!

the whole case should be made without any plastic.

This is great cover for my HTC One M9. Best thing is you can interact most of the features through cover.

This is great, easy to answer the phone, or view everything about messages from whatsapp and me any other things.

If you have a HTC M9 you better get this case the phone looks great and you can do things without opening the case

It fits perfectly, gives a good deal more drop protection and looks good. I would buy again.

Bought this for my son's phone on clearance. Decent case, he's enjoyed it, it protects the screen fine for us. It was more the cool factor than protection defining the purchase.

I like the interesting features but overall just a very good case.

The seams on this case are legendary for tearing within 8 weeks. I have been through two of these cases (which look fabulous on the M9 and the Dotview interface is lots of fun). Inevitably, however, the seams go and you have a worthless piece of plastic. HTC does not stand behind the product, referring purchasers to their retailers. Many retailers fail to stand behind the warranty after a few weeks. In short. Great idea, poorly executed, even more poorly manufactured. Avoid.

The cover is not durable it tears after a couple of weeks

This is an extremely cool case that not many people have heard of, which is great. I've gotten people come up to me thinking that it was something from the future. (Not an iPhone fan). You are able to see your three most recent calls, call, answer phone calls, hang up, and access the speaker all from the case without opening it. Battery percentage level on the screen, notification pop ups, customizable live themes, write a message and have it displaying across the screen, and what's even cooler.. you are able to play Brick Breaker! See it to believe it. Now, the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 across the board, the clear back to the case scratches very easily. I haven't had the case for no more than two weeks and it's scratched as if I had it for longer and I take care of my devices pretty good. Also, if you e-mail or text a lot and you would have the cover flapped around the back of the phone, the cover seems to wear and tear quickly. Mine is already showing sign of tear from opening and closing it too much and it's kind of disappointing. I wish it was more durable, but that's what you may expect from these type of cases. Other than that, the case is great. Wouldn't recommend to be used for a lot of traveling, but definitely as a "second case" to place on the phone when one goes out and would like to show it off to others.

I owned the M8 and DOT View case, no issues and no tearing. I purchased the new M9 with the Ice Dot View case. After 6 months, the rubber is tearing away from the plastic clear part of the case. I like the case's functionality of the viewing and information, but product is not holding up and not worth spending any amount of money on. The new design of the Ice case is poor compared to the trusty M8 case.
