It's a nice game. I disliked it at first but got used to it when my son made me play it.

this game is a mush for any dragon ball z fan very fun.

As a DBZ fan I knew this title was a must have, I was not disappointed. Though there are some questionable design choices, then Hub world feels like a throwback to Phantasy Star Online, the actual gameplay is quite fun. Where this game really shines is the use of your custom created character, you participate in all of the biggest battles of the DBZ timeline. The story really integrates your character, its more than just retreading the same battles as you know them. Aside from the main story there are 60 or so side battles that can be played solo or online coop. On thing of note, I highly recommend you be a fan, if not I cannot imagine you will fully appreciate the game!

If you are a long time fan of Dragon Ball Z, this game is for you. If not, you might have a little trouble pushing through and finishing the game. It's a fantastic, visually stunning game, with a lot of bonus content besides the main story line to keep you busy. The achievements are average difficulty, noting too hard or weird to unlock. The game is great but could be better. The camera during some battles can be shaky and some of the villains are tough, but if you are a fan of DBZ, it won't matter as much since this is probably the best console game attached to the Dragon Ball franchise.

Awesome graphics. Really takes you back to the cartoon. It's a bit tough though. I remember flying through old gen DBZ games and replaying them over and over and over. I've progressed to about Level 32 and I just began the majin buu series of the storyline ... it can be very hard to progress. I've gotten stomped by characters that I really didn't think would be such a headache to defeat...like the ginyu force series shouldn't have been as touch as it was ... I saw other people complaining online about that too.

I honestly love this game. It was a refreshing dbz game. The story mode is all new with the same DBZ feel. There 7 (dragon balls) reasons why i love this game. 1. Get to create your own character who is the main in the story (There are many different races including saiyan, namekian, and frieza) 2. There are many co op missions you can play with your friends 3. The story mode is new and fun 4. Next-Gen graphics 5. 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 battles 6. Many different characters including Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Super Saiyan God Goku 7. THE BEST DRAGON BALL GAMES IS RAGING BLAST 2! :)

Dragonball Xenoverse is pretty good, if you're a fan. The game takes cues from the previous Dragon Ball games and amps up the action, allowing for 3 vs 3 fights in full 3-Dimentional space. You're tasked with creating a new character at the start of the game, and you can choose between Saiyan, Earthling, Namekian, Buu's, and Frieza's race. The story is done cleverly enough by introducing two new characters who change pivotal moments in time throughout the Dragonball Z series. It's your job to stop these two and fix the timeline. Unfortunately for the game, much of the online features depend on the servers, which are down quite often. But, when things are going well, the main hub where quests and battle options are found, are packed with up to 200 players, making it feel reminiscent of an MMO. Overall, the grindy leveling system and server quality limit this game from being great. And though The game has a lot of customization, it still feels lacking.

I grew up on DragonBall Z and love the franchise to this day! I was very excited when they finally made an announcement to make a DBZ fighting game to the new-gen consoles (i.e. Xbox One, PS4, etc). The graphics are beautiful, game play is engaging and smooth, story line is fun, and multiplayer battles with friends is absolutely addicting. The ability to create your own character and going Super Saiyan is a dream come true for any DBZ fan! Buy this game!

I am a lifelong fan of DBZ, and this game gives you a reason to uniquely live out all the major events in the series. Having a plot laid out like it does means someone who knows the series doesn't just go through the entire show and know how it ends. It leaves a player familiar with the series the ability to go through a fresh new story while also having those"I love that character" moments.

While the online servers have been wonky this first week after release, the gameplay is very reminiscent of the show-- you really feel like you're in a DBZ fight. And the story is original and fresh, not just another re-telling of the main plot. Throw in a custom character creator, and this is easily a 4-star game.

I bought this because I had the strange urge to relive my Budokai for PS2 days. The combat is SWEET. You create your own Z fighter from all different races you'll recognize. The introduction is RIDICULOUS, as some of the first things you do to learn the controls is go Toe-to-toe as a new super saiyan Goku on Namek delivering a good spanking to Frieza. The game was developed to be... like an MMO of some sort I think? I don't know, I don't do anything with other players-- never see any anyways. This is a non-cannon excuse to make your own Z character, "apprentice" under a famous character, learn all their moves, and legitimately play out your childhood fantasies of ascending through your race's power levels to save the galaxy. Only bad thing is the weird "menu"/"lobby" between fights... you walk around in a non-combat, mmo-like "town" with vendors and stuff. Just ends up being a little inconvenient in the end.

Great game play, expertly integrated new story line with existing dbz universe. Only draw back is lack of information such as skill list by character. Certain items offer character based skill bonuses however for someone new to dbz there is no list that associates skills with characters

This game kept me entertained with it's good story line, along with its character customization. Great fighting game without having to remember a long list of buttons to pull off a cool move. The music however is quite annoying

Game is great overall. Very easy for anyone, even beginners to the dbz games. Only con really is using the camera on fast pace portions of the game is a little difficult. However, storyline, characters, and gameplay overall is fantastic.

this is quite possibly the greatest dragon ball game ever! next-gen graphics, great story, customization, fight system... it's perfect.

when battle of z came out i was bummed cause i had already sold my xbox 360. and wondered how long i would have to wait to play a dragon ball game on xbox 1. well i didn't wait long and this game is totally worth the money if your a dbz fan. fighting in this game is awesome so are the graphics. takes awhile yo level up and is kinda repetitive but as long as you get into it you enjoy it. great pickup, wished i woulda pre ordered it cause of vegta ssj4 dlc

Games very fun and addictive. Great new concept on story. Definitly worth a buy. DBZ fans will be happy

This game isnt perfect, but its the closest thing I've played that portrays the television show. I have put so many hours into this game and find myself addicted to fast paced gameplay. The leveling up of your character keeps you coming back for more.and finally create your own characters in the dbz universe done right.for any dragonball z fan or a action rpg person, this is a must buy !
