Customers are impressed with the fun gameplay, engaging story, and portability of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, particularly praising the enhanced content and voice acting in this version. While some players missed the original orchestrated music from previous releases, many appreciated the removal of random encounters. The 3DS port is considered a success by many players.

I purchased this game during the Black Friday in July sale which had a glitch that discounted games by half instead of only 1 by half. Not going to play it. Purchased it with the sole intention of flipping it on eBay.

Its very linear, no real exploration, no hidden items really. Its ok but bit boring and predictable

As a long standing franchise Dragon Quest continues to delight and surprise in this on the go experience. Great battle system, good graphics on the 3DS, and a solid story makes for a great experience.

While playing DQ8 on the PS2 was great, the additional content and portability of the 3DS version makes it a must have.

This game was fun years ago when it came out on the ps2, now to see it years later is a great nostalgia factor. The game itself is still lots of fun, laughs and challenges along the way

Big fan of the PS2 version and the 3DS version made the game way more enjoyable with the 2x speed during battles and the added two party members you could use switching in and out during battle if needed.

The original PS2 version of this game is one of my absolute favorites and being able to experience it again with quite a bit of new content is awesome. Easily recommended.
