Excellent game with great characters, story and combat. Highly recommended.

I've never played a dragon quest game till this. I was excited when I saw Akira Toriyama (Creator of Dragonball, Dragonball Z etc.) was in charge of character design. The story starts a tad slow but once you get about an hour or so in it really takes off and jettisons you into an engaging world. Its filled with lots of rewarding activities and the combat can be quite difficult if you approach it haphazardly. All in all I highly recommend it.

This is one of the best RPGs of the past decade in my opinion. The cast of characters, world (the towns in particular), and story are all top tier. Also this is a great jumping in point for the DQ franchise due to all of the quality of life enhancements for this particular version. Despite being a port of the switch version, I believe the additional story content and QoL enhancements make this the best version of DQ11. I highly recommend this game!

People ask if it's worth it. Already a colossal adventure clocking in at over 100 hours, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age just got even bigger, and, crucially, even better. … Fortunately, all of the improvements that Dragon Quest XI S brings to the table are well worth paying the price of slightly worse visuals.

Fantastic JRPG, got me back into the genre, great gameplay and story.

5 stars all around, story, controls, music, graphics, length of game (up to 80 + hours), characters, they all hit a 5. Some people call the game god-like and i can see why. Some people say its better than witcher 3 and those are some serious words to say. So if you don't own this game as of now, don't call yourself a gamer.Just don't.

Dragon Quest XI S is a great game that is a port from the Nintendo Switch version. Now you can experience the complete collection and everything that the original version didn't have. There are lots of sidequests in the game to make you easily spend over 100 hours trying to complete everything.

Dragon Quest XI S is an amazing game for RPG fans. I am a huge Dragon Quest fan and I’ve played every US mainline release. DQXI S is my favorite of the series! Great characters and story. The quality of life improvements to this version are very welcome. I can’t wait to play this game again soon!

Super fun game. Characters and animations are all done in a fun and light hearted way. Soundtrack for the game is fantastic. The whole game takes me back to when I was younger.

So good I accidently purchased it a second time. It was a great game, and for some reason I thought this was a new installment to the franchise, but I was wrong. That said, I would recommend this game.

I’m giving this 4 stars because this is a port of the Switch version rather than a fresh remake of Illusive Age for PS4. As a result the graphics suffer considerably but on the flip side are only noticeable if compared side by side. Veterans of DQXI will likely notice the downgrade but the trade off is a plethora of quality of life improvements along with the fantastic orchestral soundtrack.

Already a great masterpiece but now it's plus extra goodies. Already a classic anime turn based RPG with dungeon crawler elements. This version is the best experience if you haven't already played it.

I already own the original, the Switch XI S version, and now this PS4 XI S. This is the same version as the Switch, but hey, it's on the PS4 with 4K graphic supported. Amazing masterpiece.

One of my favorite games ever. I’m very into JRPGs and this one is up there for me. I recommend for any fan of the genre. You don’t need to be a Dragon Quest fan to jump right in.
