Great addition to the DBZ movie family! Highly recommend!

I haven't seen Dragon Ball Z in forever, but I used to love this show years ago. The moment I saw a newly made movie, I jumped at the chance to watch it. In short, it was awesome. The movie was extremely cheesy, but no more so than the actual series (which upon reflection was a lot cheesier than I thought as a kid) but man was it cool. The thing that surprised me was the humor in the movie. I actual laughed out loud at multiple different points, somethign I don't recall being so prominent in the series. Anyway, the plot was decent, the action was cool, and there were some absolutely hilarious moments. I'd check it out if you are a fan on the series

My childhood comes full circle when this came out.

This was a pleasant surprise. Being the first DBZ movie made in something like 17 years, I had some reservations. However, the new characters and digital production really went well with the series. A few scenes the animation looked a little wonky, but this is some of the best animated fight scenes the series has ever had, (Resurrection F's are even better). The best part of this movie is the humor that has been added back into the series. It really brought back memories from the original Dragon Ball series. In my opinion, DBZ suffered from being too serious at times, but hopefully this is an indication of the direction Dragon Ball Super is going. I would recommend this to any anime fan, but people that are already fans of the series are going to be the best audience.

Battle of Gods is not a normal DBZ movie, really focuses on the characters and it benefits well from it!

Really enjoyed this film, the action is stunning. Definitely check this out if you’re a DBZ fan.
