Watching this before Broly definitely I couldn't help compare. It's an ok movie.

This is a great movie to watch. The graphics are amazing and the story is good.

If you want to get into dragon ball super this is where it all began.

Without a doubt, one of the best dbz movies made. The anime quality is top notch and the voice acting is as spot on as ever for the series. Furthermore, it is of a more mature nature and should be noted that there is cussing somewhat throughout the movie so let it be known before young ones watch it, but for us who have grown up on dbz, it is refreshing to see a mature tone for the series versus a watered down kids version. In summary, if you have not seen this film yet, do so asap. You will not regret it, especially since this is just the first in a whole new line of movies and anime to be released.

Movie could have been better, resurrection F is better

This movie is actually a wonder of animation compared to Dragon Ball Super. The art style is sharper than the more toony DBS animation style. The story is great as well, as we are introduced to The God of Destruction Beerus and Whis. We also get an introduction to God power in Goku. This was one of the best DBZ films, and it set the tone for the potential for more DBZ films in the future. Yes I recommend this as a purchase; it is one of the top DBZ films - a must own for any genuine fan.

It's nice to see Akira Toriyama put more of his creative input into his world of Dragon Ball. This film earned its spot with his other previous work and I love how he ties this story to past events during the series. I will say it's not like the other DBZ films fans are fond of also considering they haven't released a DBZ film in years so this is a new clean slate. As a hardcore fan of Akiras work, I personally favored this film and hopefully you will too. Give it a shot and see for yourself.

I never would have thought DragonBall Z would return in any form. Once the series concluded in 1996, there was nothing else left to do with this franchise. Well, it took them years later but a brand new movie was released and it was great. With the original creator Akira Toriyama now over seeing the series once again, this movie really brings back all fans of the series and probably help create the new series of DragonBall Super.

This is a great installment in the Dragon Ball Z series that sparked the next movie and upcoming anime series "Dragon Ball Super". This movie has the same feel if your a fan of the Buu series. It's good all around but I was hoping more Freiza/Namek like storyline. Overall the voice acting perfect, animation was perfect, essentially the story was great to introduce new characters. Essentially I'm going to tell you to have an open mind when purchasing a movie. Don't base your purchase just because of the name on the box and what my review says. When your'e in doubt rent this, but if your a fan of the series this is a must to add to the collection.

Don't count out DBZ. Say what u want about the Japanese Theatrical release, Funimation has done another superb english dub. Both the theatrical and uncut english dub are far more superior and should be given a chance. But if you were looking for this movie when it came out on the 7th it was selling out fast. Don't count out this brand just yet

I am a Dragon Ball fan since its inception so I'm biased. I liked this one better than Resurrection of F. This feature still has the campy scenes that we've all come to love and seeing Son Goku get better and better. I enjoy listening to Japanese and having English subtitles because if you understand Japanese then the jokes/wisecracks are funnier. Glad that I bought DVD.

Throughout the years all Dragon Ball Z fans have been waiting for a great Dragon Ball Z movie, and we got it. This movie has everything we wanted. We get to see all Z-Fighters in action against Lord Beerus, a devastating Deity whose strength is far beyond Goku's Super Sayain 3, which is ridiculous. He is Beerus the Destroyer, and watching the Z-Fighters take him on is worth seeing the movie.

After a 17 years hiatus, DBZ returns with an adventurous film with all the beloved characters from the Classic Series. No disappointment whatsoever, the film achieves to bring new and already fanatics of DBZ exciting visuals with an intriguing plot that will captivate viewers with action packed scenes and the classic comedy that does justice to this addition. Battle of Gods will open for more films to follow and the legendary anime of Goku and his family to captivate us once again with all new plots and characters to save Planet Earth with his Amazing Powers as a Super Sayan GOD!!

Battle of God's is an excellent new entry in the Dragon Ball Z saga which benefits greatly by the return of creator Akira Toriyama. The film introduces a couple of new characters who have very enjoyable personalities as well as a few other new tricks from Goku and friends. I highly recommend it to fans of the series, as well as the film which comes after it, Resurrection 'F'

Out of all of the movies that have come from the Dragon Ball series, this one is the best one. More than 10 years after Dragon Ball Z finished, they return to that world and give us a very complex villain, a return to visit all of the beloved characters you miss from the series and a new transformation for one of our most beloved characters.

For real, this DBZ flick is one of the funnest of the entire Z series. Beerus and Whis, if you haven't seen this or Super, are two of the best additions to the lineup of super-powerful characters in the entire universe. Even if you don't watch DBZ, this movie is just plain fun and the animation is awesome. 100% recommend, friend.

I had no idea what to expect, but it blew all expectations out and gave me something hilarious, fun and nostalgic! As an avid fan of all the Dragon Ball series, this was everything you hope and then some. There are some things they could have taken out and added instead, but that would be due to timeline concerns, as this is in-between Z & GT story timeline.

Where do I begin this was just the best purchase I've made at Best Buy in quite some time. Truly one of the best products made thus far, Dragon Ball Z is truly fantastic the cinematography the character development from the motion picture was just great lots of punchline jokes and of course lots of fighting and action scenes. Best purchase I've made ever

I have seen a lot of movies lately from captain America to planet of the apes 2 that were so good that it had to be watched for a second time, This movie is one of them. From the pulse-bounding action to the laugh out loud comedy, this movie has it all and delivers. And with the sequel coming in 2016, all I can do is sit back and wait.

This is a great return for Dragon Ball Z. The art work was well done, the story was interesting, very funny. The action was good, but could have used a little more. The voice talent from the english dubbed show is back again. Saw this in the theater with my daughter, and we both enjoyed it a lot. Glad to now have it on blu-ray.
