You get 39 episodes for 30 dollars, that's less than a dollar an episode. Also, you get more episodes on this box set than you do in the Seasons 2, 3 and 4 box sets. Even though it's in wide screen, you really don't even notice after you've watched a few episodes. I've seen wide screen movies where the picture only takes up half of the screen because it's cropped so badly, but this is barely cropped at all. This is for the first time ever that you can have the English voices with the Original Japanese music, although I prefer the American music better because the Japanese music is kind of old and boring, so you can always switch over to the American music if you want to (That is an option). It's uncut, so you're really getting a great deal. I strongly recommend this product.

This is one of the best anime series! This is the first season of the DBZ series where we meet for the first time the prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta! And the beginning of Goku as he becomes an even stronger warrior. It comes with the American voice actors and with the Japanese voice actors as well. You can even play the Japanese music with the English voice over, or just keep it with the American music. It's also a great deal because you get all of those episodes for a good price. If you are a DBZ fan you know that it was almost 20 bucks to get about 5 episodes but in here you get a whole season for 30 dollars! I've always wanted the whole DBZ saga and with these uncut editions I may just get them all and save some money!

Welcome to the exciting and groundbreaking world of Dragon Ball Z! This is the first season of the show that picks up where it's predecessor (Dragonball) left off. The show revolves around a collection of Earth's strongest fighters as they unite together to battle the incoming Saiyans (Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta). If this is your first experience with any of the Dragonball sagas, then you will find yourself sucked into the mythology of this season. This is the best japanese animation show ever made in my opinion, and the first season is the best place if you want to pick it up and start watching. Once you tune out Gohan's incessant and annoying whining, you will be forever hooked on the show.

I love all the Dragon Ball series, so I started buying them, I have the complete GT because I could buy it in a complete set. I could not find a complete Dragon Ball Z series out there to buy, except for one site which looked like they were burned & labeled, not taking a chance like that I started buying the seasons. I was very happy until episode 4 on disk 1 which hung like it was paused a few minutes into it. I could not fast forward through that point, I tried going past it and then back to it and it stopped frozen again, I checked the new disk that I had just taken out of the package, it looks like new, no marks or smudges, no matter how I looked at it, it looks perfect. I tried it again and same result in the same spot, I cleaned it with alcohol carefully, tried again with the same result. This small defect in episode four is the reason I gave it four stars instead of five. I ordered it online and after calling customer service and being informed I can trade it out in the Best Buy store I will be happy when I have a fully working copy. All the disk worked in season two as well as all the rest of the episodes in season one.

Dragonball Z is one the best action packed series that will keep you watching it over and over especially with its uncut action that they have never shown on T.V. The marathon selection is another great thing about it with only the first opening theme showing and the rest of the episodes. Also without the saying of "Last time on Dragonball Z" and previews of the next episode. To the end with only the ending theme last and comes with 39 episodes of the Vegeta Saga.

BUYING THIS NEW REMASTERED, UNCUT SEASON WITH GRAPHICS ENHANCED AND AUDIO QUALITY SOUNDING AT ITS BEST, IT IS TRULY THE BEST PRODUCT I WOULD BUY!! I WAS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR DBZ ON DVD CAUSE IT WILL BE BETTER TO BUY IT ON DVD, I KEPT WATCHING IT ONLINE AND ITS NOT GOOD LOOKING. NOW I HAVE THE SEASON DVDS IN MY HANDS, ILL BE WATCHING IT EVERYDAY!! DRAGON BALL Z IS TRULY THE BEST ANIMATION SHOW I EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!! THANK YOU JAPANESE PEOPLE :)

This is by far the best Dragon Ball Z release yet! Unless of course they come out with HD DVD. Whatever you hear about the "widescreen sucks," don't listen to it! The only time you can really tell there is a difference is on the oppening and closing music videos, and if you are like me, you will just skip those anyway! I would definately recommend getting this if you are a DBZ fan!

Finally, sub that's not bootleg! :D This is the real stuff, boys and girls, the characters bleed, swear, and say the word "die" instead of "send to another dimension!" XP If you've searched long and hard for sub that is worthy to call your own, you've found it! The only complaint I have about it is that the remastering (I assume that's what it's from) makes the colors look blotchy or something, I don't really know how to explain it. But for me, that was a small price to pay for good sub. :D

All the episodes are shown with great increase of intensity thanks to the widescreen format and the clean up of the episodes. I like that they mixed the original Japanese music soundtrack with the newly redub english voices. It amazing!!!

these are the best 39 episodes of dragon ball z ever. the episode are longer than the edits version. i love the widescreen. love when they do it in a marathon. i rate it a 5 star.

This DVD DBZ box set is simply the best way to watch Dragon Ball Z. The rerecorded voices are better than the old ones, and this is a great deal on all of the episodes instead of the old $15 bucks for 3-4 episodes. Now you get all of the episodes for around 30. Buy it if you like DBZ.
