I love every Vanillaware title to death. I'd probably recommend Odin Sphere over this one, but I'd pick this over Muramasa. Similarly, the jump from PS2 to PS4 for Odin Sphere was a much bigger deal than going from PS3 to PS4 (Pro) for this title but the differences are definitely appreciable. That said, if you didn't grow up on a steady diet of 2D side-scrollers you might prefer a "(Dynasty) Warriors style" game instead.

If you're a fan of side scroller beat 'em ups and want to know how far the genre can go, you're in luck. If you played back on PS3/Vita and wish you could bring your old save file and trophies into this beautifully remastered world, you're also in luck. Just buy it already. Play something unmistakably old school which looks unabashedly gorgeous in 4K. Did I mention it now includes a remastered orchestrated score? It does.

I really enjoyed what the studio did with this game, how they've breathed new life into a great title and retained everything about it that made it special. I'm also a sucker for steel-books so this pick-up was a no-brainer for me. I must say that if you're new to the genre, these games are a blast if you can couch co-op with someone or co-op online with others. However, they can get kinda boring pretty quickly with solo play. Now, if you're a die-hard fan of side-scrolling beat-em-ups then you're going to have fun whether you're co-op or solo. Fans of the fantasy genre and other D&D-style games will also enjoy this title.

My buddy had ranted and raved about this game, it was on sale so I decided to pick it up. Its definitely a fun game, the art style is interesting to say the least. The distorted body type kinda throw me off a little bit. It seems like the game has a good system though. The fighting is enjoyable and even though I've only spent a little time with it I feel I could really have a lot of fun and get sucked into this game. There are a bunch of characters to choose from and I assume that their fighting styles/attack sets are different from each other.

this game is epic, with multiple, diverse characters and skill trees and incredible graphics and deceptively strategic gameplay. It can be had as a fun no-brainer button masher, but prolonged enjoying comes from practice and understanding what offense works against each opponent. Graphics are obviously the initial draw, but the solid gameplay kept me coming back.

Dragon's Crown Pro is a very enjoyable game that can be played solo, with NPC's, or with friends. Each class offers vastly different play styles and each class has a wide variety of abilities for even more specific play styles. The game does eventually get repetitive, but the harder difficulties do make the game a worthy challenge.

While those that played this on the PS3 may be hesitant to pick it back up, the improvements to performance are noticeable and the game holds up even today. This side scrolling beat em up with RPG and loot mechanics akin to the diablo series is a must play for fans of any of the overlapping genres in this wonderfully illustrated game.

In the spirit of the old Capcom D&D arcade games, this game comes along... remastered and supporting cross-play with owners of the PS3 version... and kicks it up a notch! Beautifully hand drawn and simply a riot to play, it scratches that itch for some old school brawlers, but isn't as throw away as those are.
