I'm over 100 hrs into the game and I feel it's close to ending, it's a fantastic action role-playing game. Immersive, well written dialogue and acted voice lines. The combat is pretty fast paced and can get hectic but in a good way. The graphics are within the new generation standard with some pretty great lighting that makes them look even better. The largest issue is the performance, on and since release. Patches shouldn't be the norm and I don't condone products being released in a "unfinished" (though this is more of a poorly optimized) state, though with that it's still a fun, and captivating experience.

I only learned of this game a day before the release date and it sounded like it was right up my alley, so I decided to pre-order it despite the negativity. I'm glad I did because I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time!
It seems like people just look for any reason to hate on things these days. The world is beautiful, the exploration is fun and I love the fact that you get distracted with other things while doing a quest. It just feels massive and emersive. I haven't experienced any major performance issues.
It's definitely gonna take a while for me to learn all the mechanics of the game, but it's so worth it. If you're on the fence but you think it looks good, just get it. I don't think you'll regret it, unless you're someone who likes to nitpick everything.

I got my Steelbook 1st, a day before the game.
Not having the problem that others "claim" to have had.
I love the 1st Dragon’s Dogma (I have it for the PS3, PS4, & the Switch). I find this 2nd game just as awesome, if not more so, being updated to modern tech. I’m only about 15 hours in, & I’m liking the story this far in, BUT I’m disappointed that, so far, there’s no findable Ferrystones, or an Eternal Ferrystone. At this point, it seems Ferry Stones & other items are tied to micro-transactions.
Wha? “!!!”
Capcom ruining their great rep for micro-transactions?
Well, I simply ignore them.
But I’m loving this game otherwise. HOWEVER……
For now I give this game a 4.
If Capcom fixes the micro-transactions thing, I’ll give it a 5. If Capcom doubles down & I find no Ferrystones (or other important items) throughout the game without being tied to micro-transactions, then I’ll give this game a 2.
But I’m not even halfway thru the game yet, so I’m giving it a chance. So far it’s not looking good. @ $70 this base game should be complete, with NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS or predatory practices. Just be aware.

The original Dragon's Dogma is a cult classic that captured the feeling of being in a D&D adventure, and the long-awaited sequel greatly expands on the systems set in place by its predecessor. From the much larger world, full of caves and hidden paths to discover. To the extremely satisfying combat that allows players to change their class with ease and discover what works for them as they build a character in one of the most robust character creators seen in gaming. Magic and swords, bows and knives, there's almost no limit to the combat options presented in the game. The story does feel like a retread of themes from the original, but with a tighter narrative than the original Dragon's Dogma more aimless plot.

DD2 is proudly its own game. It feels like a medieval, high fantasy Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s easy enough to be fun, but challenging too. It really shines if you let yourself explore with no goal, if you do it can easily last over 100 hours or way more.

This game is amazing! The gameplay revolves around discovery. There is no hand-holding. You set off on an adventure and it’s up to you what quests you do or don’t do. If you like Eldin Ring and Breath of the Wild, this is a must! The camera can be annoying at times and figuring out how to do quests can be tricky, but that is what the internet is for. Play it!

Fantastic game that has a unique pawn system, dynamic world, and enemies that you can take down in interesting ways. Worth your time but be warned that game will test you. However, this game gives you back what you put in and more. Highly recommended!

I love this game! Great RPG by Capcom it’s super fun and addictive. Beautiful graphics huge open world with a lot of amazing content. I would get this if you’re a fan of fantasy games or you love immersing yourself and exploring.

With all the flaws, there is still not a game like dragon's dogma. 1 month in and 200hrs later, i have the platinum and still cant stop playing it. Mtx isn't an issue and are a massive waste of money. Quit listening to people regurgitate twitter speak and play it if youre interested

This game probably gonna win game of the year. This game truly is a great experience and would recommend to get it. I got the preorder and got the steelbook which is amazing.

When I got this delivered on the day of release, I didn't get the steelbook as was pictured and advertised on the online page. So I looked carefully at the order and turns out that the steelbook wasn't part of the order but the pictures on that page advertised that there was one. So, next time, if you, the vendor, ran out of something, don't falsely advertise something by putting a picture of something that was supposed to be part of the bundle or order and say it is in it. Just simply remove it to avoid confusion and frustrations.

Second picture heck most pictures show an awesome steelbook pre order bonus. So guess who i decide to pre order with… release day here and associate and manager at my local best buy says they dont have steel books. Great so i get on with support chat and they make me call sales and place another order guaranteeing they will attach the book and guarantee i will have it when i arrive. Well get there a sevond time and no shock to me they dont have steelbooks now i have to return 2 games…. How is advertising this bad and customer support?
