A game that starts off super strong but crumbles halfway. Despite seeming like a game that you can sink hundreds of hours into, once you get halfway you realize you have already experienced everything you possibly can. If this was an early, experimental ps3 game I would say it was good, but this is a game that promised to be everything the first one was and more. Yet it somehow feels like an inferior version of the first game in every possible way.

Gave it a shot. Was really enjoying it as I did the first one. I understand the criticism of others and how the game could be better, but when you explore and enjoy the classes and battle system, and immersive DnD-ish almost feel, wish there were co op and mmo

A high fantasy JRPG masterwork. It’s like a perfect fusion of Fumito Ueda, Devil May Cry, Castlevania, Elder Scrolls, Witcher, Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate, Assassin’s Creed, Elden Ring.. A phenomenal fantasy realm simulator to explore & be lost in to your heart’s content

If you liked the original you will like this one. It still has a good amount of jank to it, but overall they made enough improvements to make it worth playing. The one save is still frustrsting but overall a great game.

As the others have stated, I did not recieve my steel book. The review stating people are crying about not getting their steelbook is what encouraged me to even write this review. This is not review bombing, these are valid complaints. The company should be held accountable for not fuffiling an order as promised. I too could’ve bought this copy elsewhere but chose to support best buy first. When picking up, the in store associate suggested i call customer service to have them ship me the steel book. 2 hours and 3 agents later, the resolution was to ask a local GM to special order me the case i was already promised, if they can. This is not an appropriate solution for the customer and had I not previously worked at Best Buy I’d be far less patient and understanding of the coorporate level mismanagment of this company. As far as the game goes, despite the game being a single player game, it does feature microtransactions for basic in game equipment in case thats a deal breaker for any.

If you're a fan of the original it's worth picking up. Exploration is great! Story is about how it was in the first as is quests. But that's okay because it's more about exploring the world than the other two.
