Its exactly what I needed. It was easy to set up also. It does get rather hot though.

Got this camera after my home was broken into twice this year. Plan to set it up in my living room, but now enjoying watching my puppy while I am gone. Set up was very easy. Has good, clear picture. Occasionally goes in and out, but that is probably just related to my wifi signal - have not had any problems picking up the signal in general. Enjoyed the 2 weeks of free recording and being able to set up motion detection areas within the viewing area. The phone app has the ability to turn the camera off and on when it detects that you have returned home - but this does not work consistantly and I have to manually turn it off and on. Really great purchase. Fun to use. Also able to listen and speak through the camera.

I was very hesitant on purchasing any type of security camera but this one turned out to be a great starter camera. My next camera will be the improved more expensive camera although I'm not to happy about current prices which include the price of the camera and the cloud service. I have not purchased the cloud service but I'm still happy with the peace of mind this camera offers.

Best camera on the market. Able to access the camera from phone app anytime, which was important for us. Also great wide view. If using for outdoors with low light is definitely recommend going with a different camera. This is indoors only with good lightening.

This camera was easy to set up and install and has good picture quality. I didn't realize until after I had purchased and installed the camera that an additional $99 was required for cloud recording otherwise it is only a live feed.

I got the cam to watch my dog while I was at work, and overall haven't been disappointed with the Dropcam. Despite not having the pro version, the video quality is still reasonable for monitoring. Sound quality is overly sensitive and not very useful for any high quality audio capture; not really an issue.

My wife and I love using this as a pair of eyes on our dogs when we need to go out for a few hours. The microphone is poor but picture and video is great for catching our 4 legged friends being bad....lol

Very good quality audio/video for the price and size of the unit. Setup was a bit of hassle, but this was more a firewall issue than the product itself. Note that this product does require a PC for initial setup - it cannot be done from a tablet or phone.

The cloud based recording subscription is required but works for me as I don't want to deal with managing disk space. It would be nice if the form factor was a bit smaller and any/more mounting options. Otherwise, works as expected and good clarity.

This DropCam is so easy to set up and use. The video is clear and great audio as well. Several great features include: ability to talk to person in the room being watched, alerts to computer as well as android phones, ability to record activities, wide lens, activity feeds. Can't say enough good things about this item...oh, and I forgot to mention...very, very reasonably priced. We used the DropCam to watch our dogs when we left the house, which gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing that they are safe and if there was a problem, we could contact a neighbor!!!!

Good product to keep an eye on a room in your house. I have had this plugged in for a few weeks now and I have not had any false motion reports. I wish the monthly subscription of $9.99 for video recording was a little less expensive.

This is a great beginner camera for streaming across the internet. We bought this as a baby monitor and will be able to use it in the future as well. although the quality and frame rate is sub par, the camera was worth the price.

The Drop Cam was easy to set up and has excellent picture quality. I use it to mostly monitor my pet when I am not home. Gives you peace of mind and its fun to see what your dog or cat is doing when you are not there.

I have used other wifi camera before the Drop cam. It is the easiest Drop cam to setup and view. No need to update software every now and then. GReat Drop for baby monitor to security camera for your home as well.

Really good, easy way to monitor what's going on in your house/room/garage wherever. To be able to see what has happened over the last day or week, you have to pay monthly, but no extra fees for watching real time.

Use on my back porch . Have facing on my garage and back yard. Works perfect , had about a month. No problems yet , would recommend , very good investment.

Excellent security camera for both day and night surveillance. I would have given it 5 stars but the fact you have to buy a subscription after the first few weeks to keep recordings kind of bummed me out.
