Without question, this is the best and most definitive version of Dune to own. Not only is the 4K upgrade a massive improvement, but the hours of special features is just incredible. This set proves why Arrow is truly the BEST in terms of physical home media: they put in so much effort, work, and time into delieving a completely satisfying package for movie fans. Definitely worth adding to your collection!!

The packaging and the booklet in the poster are awesome it's a really great collector's edition I recommend it although I'd like to say that the 4K transfer and upgrade is not the greatest although there is more detail and the colors pop more but it could have been better it could just be the source material

I bought this to play and have on in the background. I've seen it a lot over the years since it's release, and I will watch my favorite parts when my attention is not on something else. Loving the novel (I read it about once a year), it is nice to see some of it come to life on the screen. The music score is good, and reminds me of Queen's Flash Gordon soundtrack, which was fun. If you have never seen, I recommend it.

I am reviewing only the 4k transfer, not the movie itself. Arrow video has a very nice library of high quality transfers. Sound mix is good on this, but no atmos or dolby vision. Dts master audio is great on a 7.1 surround sound. Picture quality is nice to me. Ive only seen this on tv in tge 90s, so anything os a upgrade for me. Lol

David Lynch's Dune has been a favorite of mine since its release more than 30 years ago. The Blu-Ray disc is a great upgrade from the DVD. The big budget now glows on the screen with the best view ever of the elaborate and beautifully designed sets and costumes. The extra features, which were not on my DVD, are a great bonus. There are features on the design of the sets and costumes, as well as filming of the special effects and miniatures, which were impressively state of the art in their day. Very happy with my purchase.

Definite improvement over the Blu Ray, but temper expectations that this is a 38 year old movie. Also nice that a pretty extensive collection of extras is included.

I actually enjoyed this more than the new one! The effects held up very well considering how old the movie is. Unlike the new Dune, this is the entire movie! You barely even see a sandworm in the new move! :)

I really enjoyed re-watching this moving after so many years! I purchased the blu ray years ago, and it was much more enjoyable to watch vs. DVD. This 4K version (rescan from film) added better colors and clarity (and film grain :-)). The 1980's come through nicely (music, themes). Much fun to watch again!

I haven't opened it yet! Not sure I'm going to. I'd love to see the poster and lobby cards but you know what. It's a limited edition. All the cards falling out etc are just going to get messed up. I might open it one day but as of now it's staying as a collector piece and staying factory sealed.

Director David Lynch is a trailblazer in sci-fi genre. It has good cast including Sting. The producer is known for ambitious projects that entails big budgets. It is a must-to-have in your video library.

David Lynch's adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune is certainly ambitious. I've grown to love this movie over the years, but will admit that it is not for everybody. However, if you are a fan of the film then this is the version to get. David Lynch's Dune has never looked better.

Although maligned when the movie first came out, I have come to enjoy it. Still have a problem with the “heart plug” scene. Can’t wait to compare with the new Dune movie.

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE, YOU MUST BE LIVING IN A CAVE. GET OUT!!!! THE ACTORS, THE WRITING, THE VISUALS, MAKE THIS A MOVIE THAT WILL WITHSTAND TIME. THIS IS A MOVIE THAT I HAVE WATCHED SO MANY TIMES, AND IT IS STILL EXCELLENT. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE THAT I HAVE LENT THIS OUT TO. BUT THEY KEEP REQUESTING TO SEE IT.

Finally the 4K version of the original Dune was released. It’s a very nice transfer, great sound and picture quality on our large screen and theater sound system

After watching the new one in theaters I purchased this edition because the new one was only part one of two. So I really wanted to see how it’s suppose to end.

What a surprise. Arrow Video spent a lot of time making a classic look like it was filmed yesterday. Buyers, note that Arrow has high quality packaging and TONS of extras. Enjoy!

Wow talk about memories this was fun to watch. Really good job at redoing the movie in 4K. As to the visuals compared to todays movies not there but still very good for the time frame almost forgot Sting was in this movie.

I originally saw this movie on the Big screen when it was first released. Great book to read (series too). Had bought this on DVD years ago when I started to change over from VHS. Always a weekend SciFi fest.

Movie impressed me so much when I was a teen. This 4K release is full of extras. My favorite version of Dune until last year Denis Villeneuve take on the story

The picture quality looks way better than my Dune SE DVD and the DTS-HD 5.1 sounds excellent. You could spend more money for a fancier version but this blu-ray is perfect for those simply wanting the movie and a few extra features.
