Dunkirk really nails what i'd imagine life was like on a world war 2 battlefield. This is not a non stop action film but it tells a story with some action sequences. What i liked most about this film is the phenomenal picture quality with the 4k blu ray. 4k is the way to see this if you have the equipment.

This is a really well made film that within the limits of a dramatic story line strives and mostly succeeds to stick with historical truth. The real life events were so amazing that no embellishment was needed and the director wisely stayed clear of headline names and chose people who could act. Worth every cent!!

Man what stunning visuals in 4k UHD! What a great true story about a WWII battle

The best non American war movie, yes there are others but this is a great.

I recently purchased the Sony A9G and decided to get some 4k discs to test it out. This was consistently on top 10 lists. Movie is 80% IMAX which looks absolutely breathtaking on 4k OLED displays. This is up there with The Revenant and Blade Runner 2049 for Demo material to show off to friends.

I really only watched the film because of Nolan's reputation as a filmmaker, but the wannabe history buff in me was fascinated by the stories told. Dramatization or not, it made me dig deeper into the real story of Dunkirk, and it's every bit as amazing as the film would have you believe.

This movie is one that parents should save for future viewing by youngsters but important for teens who are interested in history. The violence was very real as was some of the language. The story was hard to follow at times but a second viewing helped. This movie was very realistic and tells a story that all who are interested in WWII must see!

Beautifully simple... yet comfortably complex. A true Nolan film. You can feel his passion and love for this story. As long as you allow yourself to surrender to the non-linear story telling, this movie will pay off. Hoyt's lensing is immaculate as always. They are a great pairing.

A strange mesmerizing movie. This is no flashy Marvel movie. Nolan has created very realistic scenes where you can feel the tension the whole way through. Also the Blu-ray special features are great. Over an hour and a half of behind the scenes which I love to see.

This World War II movie tells the story of the epic British retreat from Belgium and France to the seaport of Dunkirk during the start of World War II. It focuses on a group of British soldiers and their struggle to survive and not end up in a German prisoner of war camp.

Writer and director Christopher Nolan gives us one hell of a unique war film that shows the horror of WWII without all of the cliche patriotic speeches. The film is also uniquely told from three different timelines from the air, land and sea. Nolan does it again!

Another masterpiece from Nolan. This is somewhat of a strange film in the beginning, but it grows on you steadily, and envelops you in the story and the action. The special features here are phenomenal, and I would highly recommend this Blu-ray to anyone.

Dunkirk is my personal favorite Nolan film, so I had to have it in steelbook form and it did not disappoint! Beautiful picture to the Blu-ray.. Beautiful gloss to the steel... loaded with special features and Dvd copy. Overall a great package !

This 4K UHD release of Dunkirk does the film's larger than life subject matter well deserved Justice. The colors are perfect, the sound is immense much like the visuals on screen. This is the best way to watch this movie at home, hands down.

This film looks and sounds fantastic. I’m a sucker for big budget, practical effects, and the ones here are breathtaking. Watch it loud and big. The only downside for me, and really this isn’t anybody’s fault, is that I’d frequently have to turn on subtitles to understand what people were saying.

If you are a war movie fan or movie buff, this movie is for you. You have probably seen this film on the big screen in its appropriate aspect ratio. Picked this up because I collect Best Buy’s Steelbooks. I am a serious War Movie fan.

This Nolan film follows the events at Dunkirk from three perspectives. It is visually stunning in 4K. The audio is also great, especially if you like bass. The score rises and falls with the action and helps you feel the intensity.

This is one of the best movies ever! Not only are the visuals stunning but the sound design and music are amazing. Having Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer work together is always a good thing. If you've never watched this, you need too!

Great movie. Too long, but wow, terrific movie. Beautifully shot. Christopher Nolan has really captured the fear and terror of war. He has wrapped all of that with an engaging story, terrific acting, effects. Very emotional. A must see.
