Good basic DVD player

It's a relatively "no frills" unit but produces a good picture. Unfortunately, the remote that came with the unit did not work. [It may have been just the battery but I didn't have any spares to check that out.]. Also, the remote is quite small with a cluttered non-intuitive button layout of tiny black buttons on a black surface. I ended up returning this to get a dual DVD/VCR unit with a (slightly) better remote. For someone needing basic DVD playback, this unit would be just fine.
