You need to be sure that the disc has stopped or the disc case will not open

This is a great dvd player,& the price is great,& insignia is a good house brand.

I just needed something for the grandkids to play their DVD's on while at the cabin. It does what I needed it to do. The picture is OK. and the price is right. Rainy days aren't as stressful anymore.

This works perfectly for 17" - 27" screens. My mother-in-law loves its compact size; fits under her counter-top TV.

Good value for the money. Remote range is weak and buttons require excessive pressure to get response but it works.

Bought this brand to match the TV brand. One issue, the TV remote will not work the DVD and the DVD remote will not work the TV.

This is replacement unit. For a Sony DVD player which only lasted 5 months. I will not buy another Sony Brand.

Good value but it has no HDMI port. I didn't realize that when we purchased it....

It is working as it should. It doesn't have the hdmi port but I knew that going in. Sold for a reasonable price.

I've only played it once and so far it plays well. It doesn't appear you can skip forward or backward - maybe I wasn't pressing the right buttons. A red amber light displays when the DVD unit is ON and goes off when the DVD unit is turned OFF. The unit comes with cable connections (but no cables). The remote requires only one battery which comes with the unit. The remote must be aimed directly at the DVD unit to activate the change you want. The remote buttons are very small and may have to be pressed hard to take effect. This DVD player is for a "casual" movie watcher which is why I purchased it. It does not come with a lot of features. If you only need a DVD player just to watch a DVD movie every now and then, this might work for you. Frequent and heavy DVD movie watchers definitely should check elsewhere. The front and outer-casing of the unit is black and is not easily recognizable if the background such as a shelf or stand is black.

Nice and basic - my only complaint is having to change the output manually on my TV each time I want to use the DVD player.

Purchased as replacement for my father's DVD player which had stopped working. Low priced unit was perfect replacement.

I bought this for my granddaughter. She loves to watch movies on it at night. Was a great buy for the product.

It's a basic dvd player that works as expected. Nothing flashy, but it plays dvd's with no issues.

It is a great buy for a dvd player .As I stated before the only problem I have with it is the slow tray.

This DVD player was only purchased since I wanted to match the same brand with the TV. It does what it's asked to do and can't complain.

I ONLY WANT TO USE IT PERIODICALLY TO WATCH DVD'S, SO THIS IS PERFECT FOR ME. PLUS, IT WON'T COST ME MUCH.

Bought this as a gift for it's simplicity and lower price. No complaints.
